Meine Familie hat immer im Hotel Haus Hildegard übernachtet, wenn sie Verwandte in der Gegend besuchte, und ich freue mich, sagen zu können, dass sich die Standards seit unserem letzten Besuch vor 16 Jahren nicht verschlechtert haben. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze neben und vor dem Hotel. Die Rezeption war bei unserer Ankunft geschlossen, aber es war einfach anzurufen und den Code für den Schlüsselkasten zu bekommen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und haben meine schlechten Deutschkenntnisse gut ertragen! Das Frühstück war in Buffetform und es gab immer eine große Auswahl an Brötchen, Fleisch und Käse. Der Kaffee war besonders gut. Das Hotel wurde sehr sauber gehalten - das einzig Negative, was ich sagen konnte, war, dass der Aschenbecher auf unserem Balkon nicht geleert wurde. Das Zimmer selbst war geräumig für zwei Personen und eine gelungene Mischung aus Moderne und Rustikalem. Es gab genügend Ladepunkte, darunter einen Adapter in der Schreibtischschublade – und zwei der Steckdosen ermöglichten auch das Laden über USB. Die Betten waren sehr bequem, obwohl die Kissen recht weich waren. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten, wenn ich in der Gegend wäre. Vielen Dank! -- -- My family have always stayed at Hotel Haus Hildegard when visiting relatives in the area and I am pleased to say that standards have not deteriorated since our last visit 16 years ago. The hotel is ideally situated just off the motorway near Brüggen, and there are a number of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. There is plenty of parking space next to and in front of the hotel. Reception was closed when we arrived but it was easy to call and get the code for the key box. Frau Bereths was very helpful and gave plenty of information to ensure we were happy with our stay. All the employees were very friendly and put up with my poor knowledge of German very well! Breakfast was buffet style and there was always a large selection of rolls, meat and cheese. The coffee was particularly good. The hotel was kept very clean - the only negative thing I could say was that the ashtray on our balcony was not emptied. The room itself was spacious for two people and a nice mix of modern and rustic. There were plenty of charging points, including an adapter in the desk drawer - and two of the sockets were enabled for USB charging. The beds were very comfortable, although the pillows were quite soft. The TV does only show German language channels, but a number of them showed dubbed UK/US TV Shows. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.
