Comfort cottage was spacious and clean. Beds were a bit firm. Enjoyed seeing the deer in the forest from the sofa. Activities - Aqua Mundo was fun but not as good as some other parks. Aqua Speed was a lot of fun but be prepared for bruises! Laser Battle was hot and the 'arena' more suitable for small children. Overall the site is well maintained and pretty. Forest Lodge was lovely for a quiet drink.

Not value for money. I have visited Centreparcs all over Europe and also Landal sites. This site is huge so when you have paid extra to be near the centre as you have elderley relatives and you are still half a mile away then its not good. There was no nnternet for 24 hours , a broken bed and other maintenance issues. The site was sover run with electric buggys at 200 quid per week, the centre was usually empty as it was so hideously expensive, 8.50 euros for a beer. 14 euros for chicken nuggets from the not so Quick burger bar. The swumming ce tre was excellent if it wasnt over run with day visitors from.local towns. When you are paying a lot of money to stay there then it is not fair to pack the swimming pool with day visitors. I think this place would work better under new mangement, it was hugely expensive and I was dissapointed after travelling from the UK.

We had such high expectations but the park is very tired and unkempt and we were really disappointed. We accept that we visited during the August school holiday but the park was very busy, busier than any other CP we have ever visited. The Aqua Mundo couldn’t cope with the numbers of guests. There were long queues for rides and a shortage of inflatables for the slides. In comparison to other sites, the slides were also pretty disappointing for our children. The outdoor pool is not large enough. The landscaping around the rapids was abysmal, looks like they forgot to do it. The central forest was the best bit, especially for finding shade during the heatwave. Sadly this was our least favourite CP out of the English and European parks we have visited so far.

We’re on our last day of our week-long stay (family of 4 with kids aged 12&16). The site is huge so we hired a golf buggy - this was a game changer! The forest surroundings are beautiful and our cottage was clean and spacious. Just beware there is only a microwave and a hob so it’s a bit limited if you’re planning on self-catering. Aqua Mondo was a good way to start each day. Top tip - get in at 10am if you want to have a go on the slides without waiting ages. The place can get very busy and pretty noisy but our boys had so much fun on the rapid river and the small climbing wall. A couple of hours disappeared with ease each morning and we all had fun. Over the course of the week we booked indoor climbing, paintball, bowling, tennis and high ropes adventure + zip-line (which went from the top of the forest over the lake and back - our boys said that was their favourite). Yes they cost quite a bit, but the staff are great and it made for an active and enjoyable week. All can easily be booked via the app and availability was often ok even up to the day before so we could wait and see what we fancied/how the weather was rather than planning too much in advance. We ate at Le Marche buffet restaurant for dinner 3 times and found the selection and quality exceptional. It’s not cheap at 35 euros a head, but the price does include beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee so it actually works out better value than it may seem. The freshly griddled meats were a highlight and the extensive dessert offerings made a delicious treat. Oh, and the Quiche Lorraine was to die for! We used the EV chargers that were located in some of the car parks which was very convenient and we had a couple of days out to explore the surrounding area and break things up. All-in-all, this was our first European Center Parcs (we’re from the UK) and we’d happily visit Les Trois Forets or another location again.

Bad: The staff are clueless and don’t know their own activity schedule or where events take place. 1 out of 7 provided useful information. Events that day included arnt always available and yet again, the schedule is not clear. Quick is a ripoff

We had a good experience at Les Trois Forets. The park is really large but despite this well maintained (better than Center Parc village naturel near Paris, for example). There were quite a lot of bluebottle flies around, but surprisingly no biting insects - first holiday in ages I haven’t been bitten! We liked the Aqua Mundo and the playground near the Centre had a nice creperie, big soft play area and the farm next door. We enjoyed cycling and walking too - some nice easy forest routes although there are some long hill routes outside the forests, be warned! The pool area inevitably gets very busy but we still enjoyed it. The free water buoyancy jackets for little kids were handy. The other main soft play on the far side of the park had a nice cafe with outdoor seating, but generally I’d say the soft play is better for younger kids. We were extremely glad we situated ourselves near the centre with our small children. We took the hints from previous reviews and paid an extra eur59 to reserve a VIP 3 bedroom cottage (no.470) near the Aqua Mundo and the kids farm/playground. This meant we didn’t need to hire an electric car. In our experience, the reviewers saying there are “electric cars everywhere” are massively exaggerating. We didn’t see any children driving them either! There are a few busy junctions but everyone is careful. We felt confident taking our young kids scootering and cycling round the paths. The accommodation was really nice - although hard to keep cool (we were blessed with hot sunshine every day. Pillows were bizarrely very lumpy - and for some reason we only had one small toilet roll in one of the bathroom (for six people for a week this seems a bit stingy!) -these were my only complaints about the accommodation. Wi-Fi excellent. The little carrefour express in the Centre was well stocked, and bread and water are reasonably priced. For better prices inevitably you need to head offsite to a local supermarket.

We have to stayed in many Center Parcs across Europe and I must say I was expecting more from Trois Forests. Positives - exclusive cottages were clean and spacious - staff at reception were nice Negatives - too many electric buggies that are being driving quickly and often with kids at the wheel. - Aqua Mundo was closed on our first day, no offer of compensation as of yet. - The rapids were closed and we were only offered 100 euros of vouchers and were told only a few months before. - Aqua Mundo was way too busy to be enjoyable- people should have to book a slot . - we booked the high ropes activity and the staff were completely unprofessional ( chatting and distracted whilst putting on the harnesses and one of them shouted at my child in an arrogant way- they were not monitoring the activity well at all) .

During a recent stay at Centre Parcs les trois forets, my friend was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation. She then had to stay in hospital for 2 further weeks leaving me and the 3 year old potentially homeless. I'm so happy to say that the team made it possible for us to extend our stay for the duration. They also gave us a generous discount and supported us so well during a very difficult time including liaising with a doctor on a Sunday without which we were later told she might have died as she only had hours to live. I want to thank in particular David Oliger who was just brilliant and saved the day. I also want to thank Tetyana at the Forest Lodge, and Sarah Schmidt at the main reception who were also so kind and both just so helpful. Happy to report she is now home and well and up and about and your efforts made a huge difference to our lives. Thank you team and thank you Centre Parcs! Adam
