My third visit to the hotel under three different ownerships - and easily the least impressive. The location is brilliant and the rooms are clean and comfortable. But none of the staff cracked a smile throughout our entire visit. The tone was set on arrival when the woman greeting us checked her watch to see if we were early rather than venturing a warm welcome. And breakfast - by Turkish standards - was grim. Plain and tired. Local information and advice was grudgingly provided. A huge shame. This was once a superb hotel.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and well-positioned with a delicious breakfast. The owners were very helpful and spoke excellent English. It is a 20 minute walk to the city centre besides the lake or a 5 minute taxi ride (100 TL). In the evening, there as a magnificent sunset by the side of the lake opposite the hotel. It was like living in a Turner painting.

We lived in a Deluxe room (not standard). From the good: - location by the lake, these are the sunsets there :) - comfortable bed, - air conditioner, - normal furniture and condition of the room as a whole. From the bad: - the room is smoky (as smoking is allowed in the hotel), - dead plumbing (it’s not even old and is generally good, they just don’t take care of it), - the walls, both indoors and outdoors, seem to be made of paper, with the windows closed you can hear everything that happens on the street, the same goes for your neighbors. Wifi works. The Turkish breakfast is not very good, but you can eat something like eggs, bread and cheese. No coffee, only standard tea Summary - for one night and at a price of 35-40 euros somewhere, it’s not worth more.
