This is a lovely, clean property in a great location. The door codes were texted to us early on the day of our arrival, so we were able to let ourselves in. However, there was no one around when we got there and no one when we returned from dinner. It was mid-week and we were the only guests. It was a little disconcerting to wonder whether we were the only people in the house (we found out in the morning that a staff member lives in the basement). The text message indicated that breakfast is served between 9:00 and 10:00. At exactly 9:00, to our surprise, the cook shouted up the stairs that hot breakfast was on the table. We had to scramble to get ready and when we went down a few minutes later, a plate of cold french toast and bacon was on the table. There was no one in the room to greet us. May I suggest that you inform your guests that they must be in the dining room at exactly 9:00 a.m., or they will be eating cold eggs.

What a perfect stay at the Finlay House Bed and Breakfast! From the quaint and clean rooms, to the great proximity to old town, wineries, shops and pubs, it was a perfect stay coupled with amazing service, a great breakfast and charm! The staff were so accommodating and made some great recommendations too! We would definitely go back!

Our stay at the finlay house was exactly what we needed. Located in Old Town we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. the breakfast was amazing and the staff were super helpful with suggestions. 5 out of 5, totally would recommend. Erlinda has exceptional customer service

My husband and I went to NOTL and really wanted proximity to Queen Street and Finlay House is very close, easily able to walk from the B&B. The B&B is comfortable, we stayed in the Oscar Wilde room which is spacious and has plenty of windows for light - also they open, which came in handy because it was pretty warm in the room (it seemed that the heat was on and couldn't be controlled individually) but the room also had a large fan that helped. The hosts accommodated our early check in, which was much appreciated. We did not stay for the breakfast.

This B and B is managed by two friendly persons. That’s the good news. We were in the Shakespeare room which did not have an ensuite bathroom. We had to use a private bathroom around the corner. The double bed was very uncomfortable and had a plastic mattress cover which was noisy! Although we read that the breakfast was served between 9 and 10, the food was ready at 9, so we had to eat then. Breakfast was inferior. Overcooked bacon, and soggy cold French toast. A small amount of strawberries and chunks of cantalope with yogurt were also available. Definitely not worth the price.

After spending a few days at the Queens Landing Hotel for a business conference, I had to find a room "in a pinch" because the Landing was completely booked post-conference. While the Landing is grand and historic, I can say with absolute confidence that I felt more comfortable at the Finlay House. Its situated steps away from the main historic street lined with shops and restaurants (I equally enjoyed my dinner at the nearby Indian restaurant with authentically prepared Indian food). The Oscar Wilde room is light-filled, immaculate, cozy, and with all the essentials for a good night's rest. Renters highly responsive. Didn't have the opportunity to stay for breakfast...would absolutely stay again.

Enjoyable stay at the Finlay House in Niagara on the lake. Quaint town. Welcoming and helpful staff. Innkeepers made an earlier breakfast for us one day in order to go to a scheduled Niagara Falls tour. Steve drove and picked us up after our trip which was 30 min from the Inn. Highly recommend this place. Only regret is we should have stayed longer to explore wineries.

Great hosts! Perfect house,spotless; charming; nice porch and yard. Perfect location for old town center and the theatres. Hosts very responsive, friendly and extremely helpful. They go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable and easy.
