Sedia was the first place in Botswana where I could say the staff were jaded by having to deal with tourists with the service being ok. A rather strange set-up for a hotel and not sure what it was previously but it is interesting. Having said this our room was very comfortable with a massive bed, and very clean with a great shower. We dined at the restaurant and were served by a lovely young man who's service was impeccable. The breakfast was very ordinary and in like a mess room. Would not hurry back.

Hotel is located on the outskirts of Maun, with not much else around. Rooms were very nice, but hot water and water entirely stopped working the morning of departure with no explanation. Breakfast and dinner were good and the hotel had a nice pool area. Wifi was fine. Check in was inefficient with paperwork and slow distribution of keys to our group. Only 1 key provided which was very annoying with 2 people in the room.

After days of dusty 4x4 adventures, the Sedia appeared like an oasis: clean, spacious, warm and inviting, with a beautiful outside pool and gardens. We had a guest house for our family of 4, with lots of space. We used the hotel for two one-night stays: the food was good both times, but the hot water appeared to run out on our second visit. The pool was immaculate but cold. Staff were hit and miss - some extremely good and welcoming, and some relatively off-putting or disinterested. That said, for what we needed, it was perfect. Good wifi throughout.

What a beautiful place to stay. Lovely outdoor seatings and pool to swim, rooms big and spacious, heater and AC in rooms, very cute patios with chairs you can sit and enjoy, strong WiFi, buffet dinner and breakfast, friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay here.

We expected what was shown on the hotel website At the last minute we were told we were being moved to another hotel with very substandard rooms because of a “system error” We were eventually told it was because of overbooking but when we asked for details of the overbooking, our emails were ignored
