Overall- wonderful with a few glitches though.
Beautifully presented- wonderful location.
Unfortunately the service and customer service was disappointing. Good check in - friendly staff. Items not available on the breakfast menu, couldn’t give me the cocktail I ordered from the menu as they hadn’t all the ingredients. The waiting time in the evening for dinner was irritating- we heard several other customers complaining.
My husband’s meal wasn’t hot enough.
Unfortunately I left an item in our room- no one got back to me for two days after numerous calls, messages left and resorting to email.
Once contact was made eventually- Sharma was super and sorted the return of my item.
Overall, these glitches were just irritating but didn’t stop us enjoying our stay. Would definitely return. Could have been 5* all around otherwise.

The Moorland is in a beautiful location and first impressions were good, lounge and dining areas are lovely. However, our room was very small and very hot. In the evening, we waited over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive and the menu was very uninspiring. Breakfasts were excellent though.

Relaxing Stay
The garden was spectacular. Really relaxing to walk around. The staff were attentive and helpful. The room was clean and the TV had Youtube and Amazon Prime which was great. The room tea and coffee selection is good and parking is not a problem. Will be back if l drive through the area.

Great hotel
Always a pleasure to stay at the Moorland. Lovely staff, great food, lovely rooms and relaxing atmosphere. So many places I stay at lately are getting a bit tatty. Its obvious the owners keep the hotel in good repair. Great value for money.

We love this hotel, a true gem in the middle of fabulous countryside 😀.
