Porth Veor Manor, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Just home from a lovely stay at the Porth Veor Manor Hotel. Great views, comfy superking bed, large ensuite with shower. Very clean and fresh room on the 2nd floor (meant we got our daily exercise as there is no lift) but if we'd needed any help we could have asked. Delicious breakfast and friendly helpful staff. It's a bit of a shame they don't offer any evening meals, but there are various places to eat within the area, and we were aware of this when we booked. We enjoyed our stay and would return if we are back in the area.

Perfect location for a family holiday! Staff were brilliant and the whole group had a wonderful week! A combination of types of accommodation suited us perfectly. Thank you to all the staff for helping make our week a great one! The cooked breakfasts were a treat!

What we liked: clean hotel, helpful staff, good location. What we didn't like: the wifi was bad. The first night we had no wifi, after that the signal was weak, and you had to wait a couple of minutes for pages to load. There is no lift, so carrying heavy luggage up the stairs can be a pain.

We visited Porth Veor Manor for a cream tea in March. We had a lovely few hours and would highly recommend. Delicious scones, fab view, very comfortable seats and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely visit again next time we’re in the area.

It’s outstanding and flawless for the price paid. I think it’s open all year round. If you are interested in working in hospitality you don’t need to go on a training course, just book into here for a few nights and watch what they do how they do. It’s clear hospitality comes naturally to them. The welcome is genuinely warm and it’s a first impression that lasts. We stayed three nights and could have stayed three weeks. We had booked a standard room and they reached out to offer an upgrade to a sea view so we took the deal. Our room was lovely. The view was more sandy beach than sea but still delightful. We had tea/coffee - making facilities including biscuits and a dolce gusto coffee machine. The bath towels were just luxurious. Breakfast was really good, delicious porridge followed by kippers. On our last day I opted for a plain omelette with some of the Benedict sauce with their Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. We got a Chinese carry out one night and they laid a table for us in the dining room, provided water, plates and cutlery and did the washing up! Now that’s hospitality for ya. We got a few drinks from their mini bar. It was real relaxing to have a few drinks and great craic with the bar staff after a long day touring. The chef made cake which we bought at the bar for a treat. Hope to return some day - the only two downsides were no lift and one beyond the control of our hosts - as the weather was not kind.

Set in a lovely location, we were very happy with our 2 nights at the hotel. Parking was available. Our room was lovely, very stylish and the bathroom was good too. Breakfast with beautiful views across was lovely to start the day. Help yourself to the fruit/cereal area and then cooked to order. The staff were all very friendly and helpful on reception desk and in the restaurant.
