Room clean and comfortable, public areas OK. Bar stisfactory but a bit limited in choice. Good "last minute" provision of food in the evening. Very good (pre-arranged) lunch the following day. Good value for money as a pre-arranged B&B on a group booking. Not sure that I would chose it as an independent traveller as I like a bit of luxury but overall adequate for the money.

Everything we needed was already there for us and staff were really helpful with everything else, unlimited breakfast was a nice touch and really good quality, the fried bread and fresh eggs were a winner for us , compliments to the chef, all staff are friendly and ready to help with anything you need , couldn’t ask for a more relaxed place to stay tbh, would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back.

I don’t know where to start! We went for our 9 year anniversary just the two of us for a long weekend away from the kids and was safe to say we wish we didn’t bother! Was told they wouldn’t open to kitchen for us to have breakfast or dinner and was sent for a walk into the town to eat, even though it was stated they served food. Paper thin walls, could hear from everywhere. Dirty. Lock of the room door didn’t work properly. No parking. Asked if we could have a drink from the bar as it said on a note in the room to ask if it wasn’t open but when my partner asked he was received with a sigh and told fine in a minuet, Baring in mind it was only 6-7 o’clock on a Saturday night. We ended up leaving the night before as we didn’t feel safe or welcome!! Great walks in the area but that is it!

Great stay, from the moment we were checked in by Emma, who was so welcoming and friendly with a great sense of humour. Room was clean and bright, bar reasonably priced (happy hour). Would definitely stay again. Once again well done Emma, a real asset to the hotel.

Emma met us at reception what a fantastic lady she really is,really helpful and a good laugh too,rooms comfortable, would definitely stay here again, great location and all the staff are lovely especially Emma,this is not a expensive hotel but is clean and comfortable

Great location Great staff Weather Minter days out Group staying Round the Corner in a Alfa Hotel But my Room Was Not to my Liking Mainly Bathroom & Shower, So I paid for Better & More Suitable Accommodation as Driver Very Simple We Require a Good Quality Shower,,, & Here I Have just That Will Return ofcourse 🇬🇧🌈🇬🇧⛱️💯🍻👋

Good location and staff are lovely but that's where the positives end. The rooms are very scruffy, I couldn't bring myself to use the bathroom. No shower and a chipped bath. Walls are paper thin, I could hear next door talking. Paint flaking off and a hole in the wall. Could not get WiFi to work. Not a relaxed business trip but sure it may suit some if you just want a clean bed to crash in.

What a little gem this hotel is, we arrived to a very welcoming receptionist Emma. She couldn’t be more helpful. The hotel was being updated by Brad the painter (signs told us his name) We met the hotel manager Jan who was helping Emma on the bar. What a delightful pair to be served by. They even let us play music on the jukebox which was free. There was a stag group in at the time which were a lot of fun. Our room was spacious we couldn’t fault it. The breakfast was plentiful. We will be back again later on in the year.

Not sure where to start. Paper thin walls and ceilings..can hear EVERYTHING from above, below and side to side. Dated, dirty and broken furniture...Rusty, leaky bathroom sink taps, mould throughout the shower, showers that literally trickle water due to poor water pressure, bathroom doors without latches, poor quality mattresses and awful views. Avoid this hotel at all costs...beware of BOT and bought reviews, they are not accurate or legit.. They couldn't pay me to stay there again unless all the above were rectified and they returned my money for having to leave the hotel for two nights due to the noise! Absolutely disgusting.
