The Breakers
GGrace_cytTingtao Villa is located on the seaside. You can hear the sound of the waves directly, hence the name Tingtao Villa. The building is very beautiful, and the decoration inside is magnificent and shocking. There is also a mini villa in the garden, which is a building suitable for children to play. It looks quite interesting. It was raining that day, and when we visited the indoors and came to the outdoors, there was heavy fog. We could hardly see the sea view, and could only hear the sound of the waves. It was really like listening to the waves. The whole scenic spot took about one and a half hours to two hours to visit. Tingtao Villa is more than an hour's drive from Boston one way. If you are in a tight schedule, it is not recommended to go there.
Cliff Walk
Ppalettes_nyWhen visiting the luxury mansion area of Rhode Island, don't forget to walk along the sea view trail behind the mansion, and immediately unlock the same scenery as the owner of the mansion. While feeling the sea breeze blowing gently, you can see the unobstructed sea view, and on the side are all kinds of Newport mansions.
One of the attractions on the seaside park trail is the Cliff Walk 40 Steps, which was once one of the most popular leisure places for servants working in the Newport luxury mansion area. The steps were originally built in the early 19th century and then restored in the 1990s to make them safer. Each step is engraved with the name of the donor, and the cost of repairing each step is $3,000. I also saw people fishing on the cliff. It feels that the waves and wind here are also relatively strong.
Marble House
Ppalettes_nyThe magnificent stone palace's cloud stone villa is a more luxurious summer summer house, built for William K. Vanderbilt. couples in 1888-1892, is Vanderbilt's 39th birthday gift to his wife. The house villa is inspired by Versailles' Petit Trianon. The Chinese tea house in the garden behind the castle is also a major feature of this castle. I feel that Newport Castle tour, and there will be aesthetic fatigue after more turns, but the Chinese tea house on the large lawn here is impressive. The tea house said that the hostess also held a rally for women's voting rights here, standing on the lawn, looking up to the unobstructed blue sea. It feels more refined and magnificent than the Chateau Sumir mansion, and the decoration also incorporates a lot of sculpture and mural elements.
Brenton Point State Park
Ppalettes_nyThis park is probably the most local and cozy park I visited in Rhode Island. Unlike the bustling and crowded mansions and castles, this park is much more leisurely and cozy. You can also fly kites in the park. I saw many local residents who brought their own kites. There is also a roadside shed next to it where you can buy or rent kites. There is free parking in the park, but the parking spaces are relatively limited. I came here in the afternoon on the weekend and still waited for more than ten minutes for a parking space.
The Elms
Ppalettes_nyRosecliff, which was built in 1899, was modeled after the Grand Trianon, a garden villa in the Palace of Versailles, and was completed in 1902. This villa is also a Newport castle that has appeared extensively in movies. "The Great Gatsby", "True Lies", "Amistad" and "27 Dresses" have all been filmed here.
The castle has three floors and is built with white terracotta tiles. Next to the villa is a large green garden. There is also a fountain in front of the villa. Under the sunlight, you can travel to a European-style castle. This ancient house is also used for summer vacations, and many large parties have also been held. Compared with the faint light in other villas, this castle is well lit, and the decoration and layout of the villa are also classical and elegant. In addition to the appearance of European-style buildings, the interior of the villa is also worth seeing.
Rosecliff
圣圣热尔韦昂瓦列尔周勃Rose Cliff Villa is also a luxurious summer resort built by a New York tycoon in Newport, Rhode Island, where he lives for up to three months a year. The owner of the villa prefers Eastern culture, and many furnishings have Chinese elements, such as mahjong - which should be considered an early export of Chinese culture, blue and white porcelain, lacquer boxes, and ornaments of the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea.
