If arriving to Newport via Amtrak contact Lift or UBER 15 minutes before your train arrives otherwise you are waiting for the car to get there. Make restaurant reservations in advance of arrival, most places did not have seating until late evening. If you are drawn to a particular room at the Chanler book at least three months in advance to guarantee your room choice.

The Chandler was a lovely place to stay. Centrally located. Our room and the service spectacular! Loved the bedtime stories and chocolate! We dined in the living room with Kevin the bartender. He's great! We would return.

Spent three nights at the Chanler. Wonderul, first rate experience. The staff was excellent and the room was wonderful.

This was our first visit to Newport and The Chanler knocked it out of the park! They were incredibly attentive and helpful. There was no detail they did not address. Our room was cleaned and tidied up multiple times per day, their car service was excellent and there was nothing the concierge couldn't help us with.

Five star all the way. Room location and atmosphere amazing. Cozy room with all the amenities. Staff very professional (especially Hannah), and room cleanliness was top drawer. Grounds were impeccable. The location of the Adirondack chairs looking out over the ocean gave the feel of a summer vacation. Only place I would stay in Newport. .
