Rodeway Inn

When I walked in the room very strange strong odor, but I didn’t say anything. I stood there for 2 days and when I left I was charged an extra $19.97 and no explanation. I did have an uneasy feeling when I first arrived my room was already paid for and the desk clerk took my card and swiped it. When I left there is an unnecessary charge. I stripped the beds gathered all dirty bedding towels and garbage. I will never stay at that place again.

Nice budget-priced motel with large, clean rooms. A great value for the price. Nothing fancy, but you get more than you would expect.

This motel is conveniently located on US101, yet is very quiet thanks to its generous setback from the highway itself. Coupled with the fact that almost all of the motel is single-story, you are likely to have an undisturbed night's sleep. The folks at this motel go the extra mile, making it an especially attractive value for a Rodeway Inn. The refrigerator and microwave were good quality. The internet was excellent. The shower had a removable handle and good flow. The towels and bed linens were of the sort usually found at a more expensive motel. The toiletries included more than the bare-bones soap and shampoo. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was very clean. The breakfast offerings included pastries, cereal, and coffee. They even provide free local tide tables. Mr. Lee, the host, is very pleasant. This is an excellent value.

The check in was horrible. I was quoted $438.96 for our stay but the guy Lee said he was the owner and charged me $496.04. I showed him my reservation confirmation and stated I was suppose to pay only $438.96. He said I could either pay the $496.04 or find another hotel. I even read the confirmation out loud to him and he again stated not my problem. It clearly states taxes are already included in my $438.96 price. So I had really no choice but to pay the $496.04 I booked this trip months ago. Will I ever stay at a Rodeway inn again no. I have traveled a lot and booked many rooms this is the first and last time I will ever be upcharged like this. Posting proof in comments

We used our points to stay here during the Newport Marathon because we couldn't find another hotel to stay in for the night prior to the Marathon. We were so completely surprised by the cleanliness and offering for being one of the lowest price hotels on the Oregon Coast. Our room was HUGE with a full kitchen - the only drawback was the horribly small shower. The pillows were great, the bed was comfortable (better than ANY of the hotels we have stayed at for quite some time and certainly not expected from a budget hotel) and everything was SUPER SUPER clean. No smells. The check in employee was EXCEPTIONALLY nice, had some great coffee made when we arrived and snacks available complimentary. We were even allowed to check out late since we were watching our son run the marathon. YES it is right on Hwy 101 but once I was asleep I didn't hear a thing. This was our first stay EVER at a Rodeway Inn but after this great experience and the low price we will definitely try this one and others again. Thank you for such a pleasant surprise.

Neighbours next door were LOUD and kept yelling for property manager throughout the night. Washer and dryer listed were not clean. Otherwise it was amazing!
