My wife and I with our 2 kids are staying here as a treat for our kids to visit Santa in Bunratty. This hotel is definitely a tale of two halves. Firstly the positives: The front of house ( reception, lobby & bar) are lovely. Really warming and a nice seasonal atmosphere. The reception staff were lovely and kind. The bar was very busy with Christmas parties yet we had a table booked in advance. Our food was beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. Credit to the chefs and staff. The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and space. The hotels location is really good. Near Limerick Shannon & an hour to Galway. The pool was really warm. However there are some problems which cannot be excuses as a "3 star" hotel. From the wedding display cabinet behind reception the maintenance & upkeep is poor. The carpeted corridors are very stained & old. The curtains, pictures (artwork) and fittings (lighting) are all very dated. The walls are marks and scruffy. Doors, frames etc same, all chipped and marked. Floor is uneven in alot of places. The ceiling in some of the pool area is badly stained and again the area is run down. The room was OK. 3 star standard but a few really poor aspects. The window restrictor was easy opened. My 8 year old autistic son unlatched it. These should be bottom fitted. The walls were scruffy and the shower head was all stained. There was a hole underneath a socket which is potentially very dangerous. This hotel needs investment in the built environment. The staff are topclass but they can only do so much. For a family looking for a decent well priced 3 star stay ya it does the trick but don't expect anything more.

Absolutely tops! We found it very clean and comfortable. Totally satisfied with our stay. All the staff were lovely and friendly. A special mention to Ian who is the night attendant. Very very helpful. A great ambassador for the hotel.

We had our sons birthday party at the play inn. The Play area is lovely and clean and staff couldn't have been more helpful.

To say I am so impressed with this hotel is an understatement. From the moment we walked in to be welcomed by the most lovely lady, to all the staff they are nothing short of a credit to the hotel. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the children's entertainment from play center to cinema was a great addition. The grounds are absloutely stunning and the food in the bar was beautiful. I have never seen such an amazing option on a children's menu. A wedding was being held while we were there and not once were the staff too under pressured to help in anyway we needed all, while still catering to the wedding. Management are willing to help in anyway once approached and staff can't do enough for you. We can't wait to return.

Most friendliest staff ever, from the minute you walk in you feel so welcome. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are so comfy, the place is spotless. The food is gorgeous, the 2 Micheals kept checking on us to see was everything ok and they wore so nice. Cillian was full of smiles serving us. Huge portions and the guinness was so creamy. It should be a 4 star. I honestly cant wait to go back. Thank you so much to all The cocktails wore fab also

We attended the Inn for our daughters christening lunch. Nothing was a problem from the get go, Olive & Dermot were very helpful with any request. The meal was absolutely gorgeous and every guest was complimenting it. We stayed overnight and all the facilities were great, the pool and soft play area for the kids, such a lovey atmosphere in this hotel. Thanks again, we will be back!

We stopped in for lunch on Easter Sunday and just had to leave a review. We went in and were seated with menus quickly. The menus selection was incredible and we spent so long trying to decide what to have. The food was fresh and portions were just perfect. There was a nice crowd in the bar but never felt rushed and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Special mention to Michael and Cillian who looked after us so well. Cheerful and helpful and really added to the whole experience. Can't wait to return

We stopped off at The Inn for lunch in The Sheannigans Bar/restaurant on our way to Galway. The menu has amazing options from light starters to full main courses. The three of us have very different tastes however the was no problem choosing something for each of us. We were served by Cillian who was very happy and chatty with us and the manager Michael who checked on us several time and again a happy and chatty person. We enjoyed our time and lunch there very much.

Absolutely shocking.. first and last time attending this hotel. We stayed lastnight with our 3year old child. Easter weekend. We were greeted at reception by a girl who had no manner.. checked us in and gave us our room card..barely spoke & wasn't welcoming. I picked up on the atmosphere straight away. on our booking it stated a "premier room with view of the golf course" and we didn't get that. We were on the ground floor with a view of a grass area with rubbish. Could not see the golf course..Room was basic and ran down smell of damp & stained carpets . You'd think for Easter weekend they'd have some sort of kids activities on.. nothing compared to other hotels we've been to. Softplay closed at 6pm easter Saturday with last entry being 5pm. Thought this was meant to be a kids hotel- and considering it was Easter weekend also? Shocking.. Absolutely nothing else on for the evening for kids. No disco, nothing. Not even an Easter decoration in sight. Dinner in the gastro was ok. Nothing special.got a table had our food and that was that. Went outside to the "playground" (a few steps tunnel and slide) ended up back in our room by 6:30 as we had nothing to do. Asked at reception was there anything in the evening for The kids and was told Only "live music" in the bar at 9;30 which is way too late for kids in my opinion- plus no kids allowed in the bar at that time it said on the leaflet.. The hotel was so noisy throughout the night with kids running the corridors up until 1am. Soft play the following morning was good but also had to pay for that seperate. Any other hotel we've been to, that's been free for guests. Swimming pool is also in need of a major revamp. Was also told guests aren't allowed use the showers at the pool, you've to return to your room to do so . Signal around the hotel was shocking and the wifi didn't work. AVOID AT ALL COSTS...
