I wish I had read the reviews before booking. We arrived at 2pm to check in, nobody at reception. Tried ringing the emergency number for 10 minutes. When they finally returned our call we were told the rooms weren’t clean and to try the Ibis down the road. Appalling. Do not book this hotel. We had booked and paid for a 3 bedroom apartment now to wait for a refund. And we were not the only ones. There were another 3 parties waiting to check in also.

Reception not manned when we arrived at 2pm. Phoned manager who said she had been busy getting the rooms ready arrived 30 mins later. Spacious 2 bed apartment with Carpets in desperate need of cleaning. Bathroom floors were dirty. Cockroach’s in kitchen cupboard.

So far- it's all bad. My partner is there and I can now see we should have read all the reviews before deciding. I'm stunned that they can get away with it given the horrendous experience people have had there. Isn't there some kind of tourist board or something that's supposed to license these places?

Large apt with a sunny aspect, but the negatives far outweigh the positives unfortunately. Threadbare and dirty carpet, unclean in general, all dining chairs wobbly and dangerous, oven had food in it, chips underneath the lounge covers, lounge’s torn and old, tea cups too filthy to use, cockroach on kitchen bench See photos

Nice central location, comfortable, secure car parking, check in process streamlined. Apartment equipment all working. Missing bed side lights. Bit worn overall. Needs a little bit of attention to bring up to excellent standard, great views

DO NOT BOOK HERE! AVOID!! we had a one night booking of a 3bed apartment for 5 adults as we were in town for a concert. We received a call the day of the booking to say that the room was unavailable due to the bathroom having been destroyed the night prior. We were offered a house instead. We arrived at the house where the manager requested us to pay in cash even though we had paid already. The house was dilapidated (bathroom didn’t work, windows were missing glass etc) & when I highlighted how innapropriate this accomodation was the manager of the hotel argued with me & refused to assist in finding another property. There was an event on so every hotel in Newcastle was booked out. We lucked out with a motel 30 minutes out of town. Rectification offered by the hotel was only provided after I called their head office multiple times. It was a refund & an apology that was basically that it was just a misunderstanding & it turns out the bathroom of the original room had been damaged WEEKS prior to the ordeal. Please do not risk the stress we experienced. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I have not yet stayed at this hotel so no idea what it's like. But I will not find out. After a TERRIBLE booking experience, I cancelled having had 2 unapproved payments taken from my bank account, each for several hundred dollars. This was almost 8 weeks ago and I have still not had my money refunded despite several promises of immediate resolution. I can't contact the hotel on the phone as the number listed goes through to the voicemail of some unrelated building business, and i have had no response to my requests for their mysterious "Head Office" number so I can escalate the situation. I cancelled well within my free cancellation period and am entitled to my money back. I do NOT recommend you give this business any of your hard earned money.

Shared 3 bedroom apartment with friends. Price point is reasonable - you get what you pay for compared to the more expensive modern apartments. Not sure I would stay again. Pros: large spacious apartment with all amenities for a longer stay. Location central with shopping centre for groceries etc 10 min walk away. Restaurants and Civic theatre close by. Cons:dated and shabby - needs some TLC - worn carpets, bathrooms need re-grouting. There was a problem with cockroaches in the kitchen which we have reported. Parking would be tight for larger cars as it is tight .
