Wow! How bad was this place. Booked early check in at 11am for my partner with disabilities for a price of £15 only to check in at 11.30am to be told that our room wasn't ready and sat in reception until 12.20pm with no offer of a drink in the restaurant whilst we waited. Upon arrival to our room, we discovered that it was cold, heating not working , dirt on the carpet, stains on the pillows which were the extra ones in the packaging!, bathroom grout in bath/shower brown and dirt everywhere, putrid smell in the room and bathroom, damp on the windows and the list goes on. As my partner became distressed, we went down to reception and told them how bad things were and if they could move us to an accessible room only to be told this would take another 30 mins to sort, again with no offer of anything whilst we waited. Eventually we got moved to.an accessibility room and this turned out to be no better, heating broken, room freezing, carpet stains, portable plug in heater provided but of no use and again bathroom very little accessibility. Rather than go through the whole process of moving again, as we had wasted so much time at check-in, we persevere with what we had and decided we would say on check out on the Monday only to discover on check out that there was no staff at reception to deal with our complaint. Overall not a great stay, but location very good with excellent views and walks. Would not recommend and will not stay again

Hotel is tired and dilapidated. The whole building needs updating. The staff are wonderful, but the rooms do NOT REFLECT THE PREMIER INN BRAND. This place needs to be rebuilt, or, Premier Inn brand needs to walk away from this place Rooms are tiny. Cold. Bathroom mouldy (326) dated, huge mould behind mixer taps and exposed drill holes at soap dispenser Pull cord for bathroom light broken Main room. No USB Poorly lit A bizarre set up really Wholly disappointed in this brand name premier Inn quality accommodation Why, have they let this happen?

Hotel is very grubby and run down eg black mould around bathroom, carpets throughout are filthy and windows unclean. My room and bathroom was freezing, the heater being inadequate for large single-glazed windows and high ceilings. Towel rail in bathroom didn’t work. External noise was very disruptive eg works on adjacent bridge and the windows do not provide any sound insulation. Reception was unmanned on every visit and there was always a wait for someone to answer the bell. The check-in and check-out experiences were at best poor, at worst aggressive. On arrival in my room I did actually double- check it was a Premier Inn and not a copycat. I couldn’t believe how bad it was.

We chose to stay as it was very good value for a room and a meal deal offer. Previous Premier Inn experiences have been good but this location is very tired and needs a complete renovation. We had two rooms on the first floor that were both very cold. Despite following the provided instructions the rooms were too slow to warm as the electric radiators were ineffective. The rooms were also very dimly lit and sparsely furnished making them uninviting. Both rooms were also in poor state of decoration with grubby walls and carpets with marks and stains. The bathrooms were clearly very old. The biggest issue is the lack of effective sound proofing with the windows and it is a noisy area at nighttime. Not pleasant and will definitely not be going back.

Room was a little dated, the main light didn’t work and room didn’t feel too clean. Bed was comfy however and sheets were clean. Didn’t look like the photos when we booked it but we didn’t expect much for the cheap price we paid so it’s not too much of a big deal.

Cold room, small oil filled portable radiator to try and put a bit of warmth in the air. Outdated decor and well worn. Had the meal deal as part of the booking and food was good, excellent breakfast and great service. Good location on Quayside, with lots to do with In walking distance.

Have spend Friday night at this premier inn, It was a great hotel ( does need a bit work doing, but to be expected as it's an old hotel with lots of original features ) In a great location, close to everything you need, with a great view, the staff were very friendly and curtious, nothing was to much trouble. We had breakfast In the money which was great value for money, would definitely stay there again, we have a great night away
