The service was amazing, the place was so clean and the people were lovely! The breakfast was also amazing

Great hotel the rooms are good and service is great. We did have a bit of an issue with not having a physical card with us but staff were super helpful and we were able to solve this and pay the deposit.

Well what a little gem of a Hotel. Beautiful location right next to the Castle and near the Quayside. We had a lovely stay, the Staff were fantastic! So helpful and polite and friendly and very very professional. We felt very special and looked after. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was lovely. We didn't have any meals there except for breakfast which was tasty and there was plenty of options, the Staff in there again were very lovely and attentive. Saying all this a couple of little ******* the Hotel was so hot! To be fair the weather was beautiful when we were there but there is no air conditioning in the building. I do appreciate it is an older building and it's not always possible to install Air Con Units but a few fans scattered around would have made it a bit more bearable in the public areas . There was a fan provided in our bedroom which was very welcome as the sun facing the windows all day ! We also found the bed not very comfortable, the mattress was too hard for our liking but then this may suit other people so it's not a criticism really of the Hotel more our preference to have a softer mattress. All in all we Would definitely go back to this hotel but I think I would go in the colder months.

Nice place

The hotel is located in the ancient city, with a very unique, classical and stylish decoration and appearance. You can walk to the river in a few minutes. Recommended! If you arrive by car, the hotel has a doorman to keep your car keys, which is quite interesting.

We love staying at the Vermont. A fantastic location, love the bar and the rooms and lovely. We would have rated it 5 stars but the breakfast is not great. It’s not because it’s buffet style, it’s more the quality is not great and it’s not kept well either. We still love it but would be 5 stars once the breakfast is better

Check was ok, although you can not tap with phone/card you have to insert to pay, deposit can take up to 14 days to return back to your card even though they are able to take payment straight away, hotel is right by a railway line and I was woken up at 5am by a train going passed, no my window was not open, on a positive note the room is nice but the bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast - if you are having the full English, this is buffet style, bacon, sausage and black pudding was all very dry, I’d suggest to order something else off the menu which is then made. Overall an average stay, wouldn’t stay here again

This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and it is still excellent. We would always book here when visiting Newcastle

Very disappointing overnight break the noise we experienced throughout the night was disgraceful from both within the hotel and outside the hotel. I have tried to speak with the duty manager regarding my experience and have had no response. For an hotel that markets itself as a luxury hotel it was not the experience myself and my two daughters expected.

Really nice apartment in quayside. This is a separate building to the hotel (a 5 minute walk away).

unfortunately difficult to get to sleep on floor 11 with nightclub directly above you, but on a positive note staff were great always polite and helpful

Excellent location and very friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately in the Aparthotel there seems to be a major issue with hot water supply and pressure so a shower on Saturday evening was lukewarm and then just no water at all. Apparently this is an ongoing problem especially when everyone is using showers in the building. In fairness we were offered complimentary breakfast for all 4 of us.
