Cute little cottage with a homey feel. While the room and decor was simple, it was clean and had plenty of space for us. The bed was soft and comfortable. The bathroom was modern with great water pressure. Breakfast had several options and was quite tasty. The location was a quick drive to town, but just far enough out to have a nice country charm. Would highly recommend.

This place is a little gem. The location of the country house and surrounding area is beautiful. The mountains overlooking you and just a short distance from local amenities. Very quiet and peaceful which was exactly what we wanted. The host was spot on and only a call away if we needed anything. I couldn’t recommend this place enough it totally surprised us and value for money indeed. Thanks Darren for a wonderful experience

A nice quiet place to stay, very dig friendly, great breakfast. It's only a few minutes drive outside Newcastle, but it is in the country , and very quiet.

Amazing stay in the Briars. Everything has been catered for in the finest detail, from cartons of water available 24/7. Properly priced drinks, the added extras in each room. We thought we would miss the cooked breakfast but we didn't as again everything had been well thought out. So convenient to town and Tollymore. Really couldn't fault our stay and we will be back. Thank you.

Superb warm welcome from Darren. So friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We were arriving late and leaving early. Darren made sure an excellent self service breakfast was available so we could eat well before the usual breakfast time. It was our first time in Northern Ireland and we can't wait to go back. Such friendly people. Look forward to staying at the Briers again in the future.

We stayed with 2 other couples in the 3 bed cottage and it was superb. Great location, comfy beds and good living/dining space. We ordered pizza in to make use of the hot tub and had a brill time. Def recommend it and the host was lovely. There is so much to do in Newcastle wish we could have stayed longer
