Also, the price is quite high, after all, in this place, the price is cheap, there is a breakfast parking lot, and I use the Google map to navigate the past, the road is also very easy to find.

This was booked for us by friends who live in Newcastle. We were very happy with the room and the amenities. The free breakfast provided plenty of choice but the fruit provided was unripe pears and this was summer when local fruit is in abundance. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and overall our two night stay was very pleasant

What a great little stay! Just because the Ibis isn’t a five star hotel, doesn’t mean they can’t have five star service! The service here is brilliant! I was passing through town for a night and booked a room at the hotel. My ‘requests’ from my online check in email were granted and I was even able to check in a couple of hours early. The rooms, in fact the property is old but that’s ok. The rooms are small but the bed was comfy and the shower was hot with excellent pressure. The wonderful lady from housekeeping even popped by to drop off a bottle of water and a chokkie brownie! How good is that! Breakfast the next morning had the basics but it was fresh and hot. Again, what more could one ask for. A great stay :)

I have lived for 9 days and I have a good night's sleep. Of course, I am not a picky person. There is a running water design in the yard, probably from 7 am to dark, the sound feels like a river, the first day is a little uncomfortable. The room type is a suite in two rooms. The doors open from the corridor are the doors of the two rooms. Therefore, the sound insulation is almost the same. Occasionally, the voice of the neighbors can be heard. Two days in the morning, the sound of another door is awakened. . I saw a small strong on the balcony. I thought about it, I used paper to throw it. Good location, climbing to the cathedral, there are few tourists, you can quietly experience the culture of Christ, down the mountain to the sea stall; the other side is the civic center, there are art galleries and museums. There is a variety of cuisine throughout the street, including a lady's favorite chocolate drink shop.

Opposite is the main beach. It is still very convenient to play the beach and the sea. The restaurant has a 180-degree floor view. You can enjoy it at breakfast. It is really good. There is a free low parking garage. It is two standard rooms connected together, which is really good. The bed in the standard room is very large, which is very convenient for family use. It ’s important to say that the hotel ’s restaurant service is really good. When I arrived at the hotel, one of my noodle cooker lines fell into the previous hotel and I went back to get it for another 2-3 hours. Later, I negotiated with the restaurant. Since the restaurant ca n’t cook takeaway food, the manager helped me think of a way to soak the noodles in hot water and then turn them in the microwave. Finally, Erbao had noodles and was happy. Wonderful.
There are some shopping malls near the hotel, you need to go a little earlier, and there are many Chinese shops, dim sum shops and Japanese food shops, as well as spicy spicy pots. The closer you are to Sydney, the more Chinese food features appear.
The ice cream shop opposite the hotel must go, go early in the evening, usually Australian shops open late in the morning, especially on weekends, and close at 8-9 in the evening.

GGuest UserThis motel is by far the cleanest i have ever stayed in and thats alot. Not one finger print to be found. No mould in the Room. Equipped with the best hot chocolate yummo. Room attendants were smiley. Blonde receptionist was rather happy and a pleasure to me and the kids. Pool was to cold to swim in. Very quiet room despite the traffic ( must be sound proof or double glazed). This is a 5 star place with with 3 star prices. We will be back.

PPius OttThis is an old-fashioned pub but the rooms were very nice and clean. Albeit somewhat small. There is some noise from the pub downstairs, but it's not too bad and it finished long before I went to bed.
Although there's no reception, you can just check in from the bottle shop.
The hotel is in a great location for shops, restaurants and cafes. It is a bit of distance from the centre of Newcastle but it's probably a busier area than the centre.

It was simply pathetic. 2-3 mps when you’re lucky is a painful reminder of how complacent Australian hotel management is towards its customers. In no other country I’ve been to has service been as poor, even in some 3rd world locations, that leave us way behind. Arrived early, unable to check in (as expected), but the promised phone call to let us know the room was ready didn’t happen. Not sure why offers are made when there doesn’t seem to be any intention to deliver. Otherwise a good hotel, in a good location; near the beach, with plenty of good food and coffee venues nearby.

GGuest UserGreat staff, great service. Easy to go around Newcastle and also close to the Honeysuckle Tram stop that takes you to the Newcastle CBD and the beach. Breakfast was good, make sure you include jn the package for your stay otherwise it will cost you $32/person per breakfast. The only negative things here are : The swimming pool is too small. The exhaust fan in our room won't turn off, its always on. The aircon kept turning off every 2 hours or so by itself so when we slept here for 3 nights, every night i was sweating as the aircon was turned off by itself eventhough i did not put any timer on. The restaurant is not serving proper meal as no head chef available, so we had to go to Marketown for dinners. The parking why should we pay? I think it should be included on the price. I understand that limited spot, but they have spots up the ramp too, they not using it. Also , when its full, they seem to squish in more cars, in one night we stayed there, we had to park in front of the shed which not suppose too, but thats because the staff maybe promised the people that coming late that parking is available. No it was not, there was no spot left although we already checked in the night before, we still can't get the spot.

Room spotless clean and perfect for the stay.hotwater and heater works perfect in 238 as it the weather did drop early in the morning for the heater to go on just to get the heat flowing in the room. Comfy enough bed with decent pillows. For travellers who havent been here before..shops are about a 5 minute walj through the park eg: coles maccas aldi pubs ect.otherwise 2 shell express a few mins walk up the main drag,tho.onsite has vending machines for lollies noodles sodas ect. Good stay for a good price

Ffehringgood place great bed and neflix tv but a complete rip off in price there just 1 bedroom apartments and your charging 130 aud or so a night. so $1000 week your making from something that rents for 300 week in new castle. There is no service at all ! big restictions on tiny spa outside . this place would be perfect if the price was half , this place is terrible value for australia, pick another place. if you have 4 people then its good 2 people can sleep on sofa which works but $130 for self check in cabin is pushing it even if they are good and clean.
