Rooms are a bit smaller than expected, but nice and cosy. There are tissues on the floor inside the room upon arrival. Shower water pressure is low and drainage is not very quick. Otherwise, very good location, close to city, beach and light rail. The room rate is not value for money.

Excellent customer service, great hotel

Room was on level 1. Noise from teenagers during the night. Bell sounds every hour. Great location but not good service.

Beautiful location. The bar on 9th was worth the effort. Great staff. Dinner was disappointing considering the cost, but the views were amazing. Rooms are really well thought out - but despite paying for upgrade the room was nice but outlook was a carpark 😔 nice to spoil ourselves but won’t go back.

First time at a Crystalbrook hotel. It was a pleasant experience. Rooms are really spacious with nice modern decor/retro design touches. Bed was ok, pretty firm. Room entry is a bit of a wasted space around closet area, probably could have been better utilised. Bathroom was well equipped, probably could have been bigger based on wasted entry area. The hotel has a rather sombre vibe so a bit vanilla in that respect. Restaurant not open Sunday eves so couldn't try. Bar on top level has pretty good views but a bit disjointed between nice bar and seating area in a seperate room. Didn't get a buzzy feeling there. Location was ok, bit out of central CBD but close enough to Darby St eateries so had my Sunday dinner there. Opposite Civic Park and close to waterfront. Loved the "no plastic bottle" and refillable water stations for an eco friendly experience.

nice hotel Lovely night

We chose a bay view king room. The view was not as good as we expected, it was very messy, but the room was OK. There were quite a lot of people staying here during Christmas. It should be the best hotel in Newcastle. It was very clean and quiet at night.

It is said to be the best hotel in the area. It feels average. The room is a bit small.

The hotel has a good location, next to the city hall. Parking at the hotel entrance is not very convenient, but the room is generally good, with separate bathrooms and toilets.

The hotel is great. I stayed another night. The most important thing is that the location is very good. The train station, light rail station and beach are all very close. There are many shopping malls and restaurants around. The room is nice, very clean and large.

The room is nice, but the floor number given by the hotel front desk is too low. I hope it can be improved.

Check-in was quick. The room was clean. The entrance was very convenient.

The hotel facilities are relatively new, but the service quality is very poor. We booked a room in advance, but were assigned a disabled room without prior notice. We told the front desk that we wanted to change rooms, but the front desk insisted that the room was full without checking the system, and there were no extra rooms. However, on all booking websites such as Ctrip and booking, there were still 4-5 rooms. After confronting the front desk, he said that the website update had not kept up. And his attitude was very tough, saying that the rooms were arranged in advance and could not be adjusted. The male supervisor at the front desk was enthusiastic to white people, but he was another face to us. We gave him feedback on his unsatisfactory attitude, and he said that he could give us a breakfast discount. We refused directly because it was really not a matter of a few dollars. I have been to Newcastle many times, and I used to work in a well-known star hotel. To be honest, the service of this hotel is very unprofessional and chilling. Btw, there was still a little residual excrement in the toilet of the disabled room that was not cleaned.

You can see it right away when you get off the Lightrail. The location is great. The front desk staff is also very friendly~
