Having read the previous reviews I hoped that in the time frame the owners would have addressed the issues and that this would be a great stay – how wrong I was. The Hayloft is a converted garage in a very quiet location. The view as you drive along the drive is lovely however, you can’t see any of it from the loft windows in the room. The room is spacious and clean but that’s about it. Advertised as ‘a luxury bed and breakfast’, it’s more like a self-catering unit with half the furniture missing! The breakfast supplied was disgraceful and far from luxury! An open jar of instant coffee, some tea bags, a multi pack of kids mini cereals, a small cut loaf and some cheap packet jam. Even if you are ok with a minimal ‘do it yourself’ breakfast experience, there is no where to sit unless you are happy with a bowl on your lap in front if the TV. Pillows on the bed are wafer thin and I mean not an awful lot thicker than the pillow case! We asked for some more pillows and were provided with two more equally thin pillows. You only get one towel each, no hand towels. There is a smallish mirror above the sink. A hair dryer is supplied but the plug is in the bedroom – no mirrors. No door on the bathroom. The sink still doesn’t drain and after closer inspection we found the linkage on the plug was bound together with tape. The toilet doesn’t flush properly and takes many flushes to wash away even a single sheet of toilet paper. Both these issues were reported. The sink was fixed but the toilet was not. There was some soap supplied but this was a half used bottle from previous people, no shower get etc. Parking is available on the drive but when we arrived there were several cars already on the drive leaving it really tight. if you do give it a try, We felt it really isn't worth the money especially when you factor in breakfast elsewhere. My recommendation - book somewhere else.
