A wonderful treat for my 74th birthday. Wonderful warm welcome from Andy and the cats. Excellent accommodation and welcome pack. The prosecco was very much appreciated. An excellent breakfast choice ( I have to have gluten free food) which was delicious and filling. It was great to watch the birds, including a woodpecker, feeding in the garden. Nothing was a trouble. A brilliant stay. Thanks

We stayed 2 nights at Newburgh House thanks to a birthday gift voucher from our daughters. What a find. The welcome from Andy was great and Andy & Ryan were superb hosts for the entire stay. As part of the deal we shared an antipasto meal on the first and what a feast. The bedroom was large with all the usual amenities and ours had a double aspect over the large garden. We choose the breakfast the night before and the food was great Looking forward to returning ASAP Thanks girls

We chose “afternoon tea with bubbles” at Newburgh House when we were given a Buy a Gift. What a great choice and so much better than similar afternoon teas at other more established places. Beautiful setting, friendly reception, intimate atmosphere, and home made quiche and cakes to die for. Highly recommended.

Only spent one night here, but we had a fabulous time. We were hoping to spend the afternoon in Thirsk, but the weather wasn't good for us. We decided to try to book in earlier than we should. Luckily, Andy was there to book us in. We were in the upstairs pink suite... it was fabulous ❤️ was like a one bedroom apartment. Only fault I had, was carpet in the bathroom. My own personal opinion. Apart from that, everything else was spot on. One of the best full English breakfasts we've had. Absolutely perfect bacon 🥓 back bacon, minimul fat. Didn have the black pudding, so can't comment on that. Ryan & Andy are fabulous hosts. They're both very very welcoming Will definitely stay here again

Located in the a beautiful part of North Yorkshire and close to lots of breath taking countryside views. This lovely old house, formerly the managers home to the adjacent priory, is an ideal place to enjoy a holiday. Our hosts, Andy and Ryan made us very comfortable and served us with an excellent breakfast. Afternoon teas are also available if you can find time to break from the local sight seeing!

Called in for afternoon tea with a visiting friend on way back from nearby farm shop. What a gem ! We had a lovely table in the beautiful dining room overlooking the quintessential country garden and the owners little Jack Russells providing much amusement. The service was seamless and charming considering we had just dropped in on passing. So glad we did. The food was all fresh, delicious and naughty but sooooo nice. Will be back and highly recommend. Thank you very much for a great experience.Sometimes the chance encounters are the best !

Our stay at Newburgh House was idyllic. Andy and Ryan were the perfect hosts, very attentive. The B&B is lovely and our room was spacious and homely. We absolutely loved sitting out in the garden too, so beautiful and relaxing out there. Everywhere was clean and the homemade brownies in our room on arrival were a special treat. We had a fresh breakfast cooked for us both mornings which was delicious, and the fresh eggs laid by their hens was such a nice touch. We also had the pleasure of meeting some of Andy and Ryan’s cats and dogs, all very sweet and friendly. Newburgh House is an ideal location too. One evening we had a meal in the village pub, the Fauconberg Arms, which was great. And one day we drove into York with it being nearby. We’d definitely stay there again and would recommend it.
