The food was OK in my opinion. Not great, but not bad either. It doesn’t help being told off for asking for more bread rolls (which are tiny). The view from the restaurant is a typical, beautiful, English countryside view and the old parts of the house are lovely. Whoever signed off on the planning permission, with its mishmash of new and old, poorly meshed together needs firing. Some of it looks awful. I wasn’t impressed with the room either. The bathroom lights worked on PIRs so they are on whether you like it or not. Not great if you get up in the night. And there was no air conditioning. The over bath shower was pathetic and luke warm and there was plenty of room to put a separate shower. For a premium hotel I’d expect proper coffee in the room rather than the cheap sachets you get in a Blackpool hotel. And the bed was hard. But again, it wasn’t terrible. The view from my room was of a small courtyard and what looked like laundry trolleys, so also a little disappointing given how spectacular the countryside is. It’s a strange place and I wouldn’t go back. Not because it’s terrible, but because I know there are better out there.

We booked last minute as where picking car up in Leamington Spa, we arrived after 6pm and was dark, only thing to improve would be lighting on signage, reception booked in by lovely lady, explained everything, we were room 25 in The Quad old building, parking close, immaculate clean, lovely bed, firm mattress which we like, big bathroom and warm. Big tv. Breakfast was excellent choice, only drawback was we had full English which taste was nice but bacon and fried egg was a little over done or maybe left under heat for a little too long. Couldn’t fault staff, all great, we had few drinks in bar on evening we arrived, good choice, beautifully decorated ultra modern but still comfy feel. Definitely recommend

Fantastic stay. Lovely clean and spacious room. Nicely decorated. We were in Stratford block which was very modern. The gardens are beautiful, and nice to stroll around. The bar area was lovely, really pretty. Breakfast was good , the cooked breakfast not as hot as it could be but that’s usual for a breakfast buffet! There was a good selection of food. Would definitely recommend, well worth the money!

“Deluxe Double Room” - This need redefining based on my stay. Staff were friendly enough. Breakfast room was nice, once you’ve hiked over from the quadrant. If you choose to drive over, as you’re leaving post breakfast, you may not want to. As you could end up back in the same car park that you started in. If you’re placed in the quadrant, prepare for the worst and you may feel okay. I couldn’t decide if it was a converted office, or OAP home where residents were mistreated. And if you’re placed in my room, don’t have a drink. You could find yourself in a heap, down the stairs to your bathroom.

This is a difficult one. Looking on the website, it looked absolutely beautiful, and it does when we arrived, but was shunted to the back of the building into a room which was so small the bed was up against a wall and was the same size as my room at Uni. What a letdown! Breakfast was also not good. No greeting at all, room number! We were told to sit at a table with others and not shown where the food was, coffee. If we had any dietary requirements, we had to find them. On the other side, there was a conference on and people had name badges and obviously met the night before and new the routine and if you were a single person the room would be fine, not for a weekend night away. So if you go to a conference there, amazing, but for a couple who wanted to experience the place , DON'T GO!!

Wonderful venue. The team was brilliant and showed us around the manor house and extensive grounds when we arrived. We also enjoyed a good 40 min wellness walk though the nearby woodlands. The newly built Escape Room was great fun and exciting, perfect for a corporate event and we all loved it. Lunch was excellent, we would highly recommend this venue.

Absolutely stunning venue, staff were so friendly and went above and beyond. I attended for a team building off site day with my colleagues. Our room was fantastic looking over the gardens and the coffee and pastries were a great touch. We all enjoyed a 5* lunch! Playing games within the grounds and the escape room in the cellar, not only did we escape our team set a record time! Thank you Ashorne for hosting such a wonderful day, we cannot wait to return!

During the morning tea break at my conference, I got a hot drink with milk in it, I saw the catering staff pour two milks together and assumed that they wouldn’t be stupid enough to mix the milk with the dairy alternative since it was clearly labelled (this is the staff the work there, just thought I’d make that extra clear) so I poured the milk in my drink as I usually would because, why would there be a problem, and it looked a bit off in colour and I thought that was strange so I double checked that I had the normal milk and I did so I continued, I only took a sip from my drink just to be extra safe, because the colour made me wary (but it’s a bloody hotel and conference centre, surely the staff wouldn’t contaminate stuff like that) and almost immediately my throat started to swell. Rushed to get water and antihistamines as I had only had a sip so I should be good. Took two and a half hours for me to be able to swallow properly and four hours for the pain to go. Felt unwell for the rest of the day. The centre people said they would “raise it with management” but I didn’t see anyone remove the contaminated milk!
