This hotel was in a great location for things like exploring the Chelsea neighbourhood and visiting the Moma art gallery! I really liked the vibe as there was a terrace outside that always had people sitting chatting, dining and having a low key good time. There were also lots of nice restaurants in the area! The room was lovely too!

Clean, modern and comfortable no-frills hotel. Great Chelsea location with convenient access to Penn Station, subway (#1 train) at corner, and walking distance to so much. Reasonable rate for a room with a panoramic city view. Friendly staff. Perfect for a short stay. Even got daily maid service on a 2 night stay.

Holiday Inn, 6th Avenue, Manhattan We are a much travelled family and have used Holiday Inn many times in different cities worldwide. It was a brand that we, as a family, had confidence in. The accommodation was as expected and the cleaning staff should be praised. However, we were bemused by the demeanour of the other staff – front of house and in particular, breakfast staff. We could only conclude that Holiday Inn had given work experience to people from other backgrounds who had no experience of interacting with the public or serving at tables. We took a while to check in, the young man with headphones in, couldn’t find our reservation. There was no apology and, crucially, no explanation as to how the unique breakfast system worked. We found the breakfast room the following morning, eventually a young man came, we thought that he may normally have been a plasterer or welder trying out this new job, and told us that we needed a voucher from behind the reception desk to access breakfast. This voucher allowed us one item off the menu – any additional item such as orange juice had to be paid for. It was not permitted to pick up vouchers for my two sons or to pick up vouchers in advance for the next two days. The ritual of picking up the daily voucher was bizarre! Each morning was a transatlantic scene from Faulty Towers and proved to be a most memorable experience for all the wrong reasons. We had an amazing time in New York and had so many fantastic experiences of superb hospitality and service; the antithesis of our experience at the hotel. The location of the hotel was excellent

I had to stay here for a couple of nights while in town on business, and was super impressed at my overall quality of stay. The hotel is conveniently located near many restaurants and subway stations for the 1, B, and C trains, and the Flatiron Building is nearby. Staff are super welcoming and friendly, making the checkin and checkout processes run smoothly. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed (a comfy bed, a working bathroom, limited noise). There's a complimentary breakfast served which isn't too bad. Overall a very good place to stay for business or pleasure.

It's a pretty good hotel. The location is very good. It's very convenient to travel. It's a bit slow to wait for the elevator. The breakfast in the hotel is very good and rich. However, the gym is too small and the treadmill is always broken. It's not suitable for fitness.

Just returned from an amazing week in the Big Apple - spent ages looking for our ideal hotel before booking and have to say The Innside by Melia - West 27th Street, Manhattan more than lived up to expectations. Fantastic location- short walk to the Empire State Building and Macey”s - around a 20 minute walk to Times Square and just one block from the subway that takes you uptown or downtown in minutes. We booked a king size, city view room - worth every penny - floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the Manhatten skyline - the H&M tower directly ahead from our room . The room itself was superb - sleek modern design, immaculately clean and very well serviced by the housekeeping team - , bed was super comfortable - storage perfect , iron and board provided - which was used frequently - excellent shower and bathroom in general - cosy dressing gowns provided. There is a great restaurant and bar- The Wilson - which is part of the hotel - service and food excellent. The reception staff are just soooo helpful and friendly . They were more than happy to store our luggage on our last day and ordered a taxi for us on our return to get us to the airport. This is quite simply an excellent hotel - I have recommended to friends already and would not Hesitate to book again when we return - as of course we have simply got to return to NYC - it is an amazing city - hardly scratched the surface in our first ever week in Manhattan.

This hotel was an incredible find and it such a perfect location which made it easy to get around the city by both subway and walking. I booked a room with a view of the Empire State and it was stunning - totally worth it! The hotel facilities were great and staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel!

We were in the hotel for one week. Everybody was friendly. The rooms are a bit outdated, and there was always a strange noise in the bathroom that could not be turned off, and a strange smell of stale cleaning water. But it wasn’t bad. The rooms were cleaned. The Breakfast is simple, without vegetables, cheese, and others. However, with sausage. Bagels, Toats, Marmalade. For us was ist really enough. I want that pancake machine 😂. I loved it!!!!

This hotel is very conveniently located in the middle of Manhattan, right next to NY Penn Station which has trains to both JFK (on the LIRR) and EWR (via NJTransit). My room was pretty small, but it had everything I needed. Everything appears to be clean. Staff were friendly and had me checked in and out quickly. I was provided with 2 complimentary bottles of water upon checkin.

This hotel is in a convenient location, the front desk was efficient, and the lobby is reasonably nice. The elevators work well, require key cards (added security) and there were none of the delays encountered at similar properties. The 2 queen bed room was very cramped for two people (more than two would be impossible), and no storage space except for the small closet. I like to unpack my bag for multi-night stays but we had to live out of suitcases and there wasn't even anywhere to put them without blocking the walkway. Decor was dated, with dirty old carpet squares. Bathroom was spacious and clean but with a tiny sink jammed in the corner of the vanity. Beds were comfortable. Hallways were okay but smelled of disinfectant, which I suppose indicates they are clean. Breakfast, the Hampton Inn brand claim to fame, was unappealing and the hot food ran out quickly. The first morning we literally got the last pieces of toast and nothing else. There was no maid service until checkout. The price was moderate by Manhattan standards but not low enough to make these issues acceptable.
