Many staff are very pleasant. Our experience has been less than ideal. The hotel is in an excellent location to explore Williamsburg. It is clean with a lovely, bright decor. Hot water is spot on. Comfortable bed. The not great: if you stay on the 8th floor you may be kept up by the clanging of the elevator. When we inquired, front desk said "Yeah. It's an old elevator." They offered us a room on the 7th floor. The noise was still present but not as loud. Unfortunately, a water bottle we got at the Yankees home opener was left in our old room when we had to change. Front desk said they would investigate but did not contact us. Given the price point, such a lack of service is disappointing. If your stay has no hiccups it will go well. But if you have an issue, do not expect a prompt and professional resolution. The best staff person who offered help was the head of housekeeping (did not catch her name). She said she would followup. No other staff cared. We care, though. That water bottle obviously wasn't a computer or a passport. But it meant a lot to us.

The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Our room on the 2nd.floor had a large balcony. Like many modern hotels, there's a window between the bathroom and main room. Unlike many, it's strategically placed to give you privacy. While the room was large with very high ceiling, there was minimal storage and hanging space, making this a great place for a short stay. I didn't realize I had left an expensive piece of jewelry in the room. Luckily, the hotel contacted me and I was able to retrieve it. 5 stars for honesty! In the bathroom they had The Davines Dede Shampoo and Conditioner which is very good for color treated hair. It's very gentle. They also provided robes, but no slippers.

This hotel was a perfect location for a 6 night getaway to visit our son and celebrate my wife’s birthday. Just a few blocks from the L train which takes you straight to Manhattan staying at the Wythe gives you easy access to the city and a great property and neighborhood that relax in. Our room at the Wythe was a “Brooklyn View” and I t was warm and comfy when it was freezing outside. Well appointed and stocked the room had above average soundproofing which made it a great place for me to chill as I needed some down time to help me recover from a long illness. Both the bar and restaurant were great and staff were excellent, always ready to make your stay memorable. It made for a fun, nice homey vibe that made for a memorable trip. Of course it’s easy to get top marks when everything goes right, in our case there was a hiccup related to some maintenance (repair happens) and this time a where the manager Grace stepped up and stopped the work and did everything possible to make things right. After 40 years in business I can tell you it’s how organizations handle hiccups that shows true professionalism and Grace is a true Pro

I came to the hotel to dine at the Le Crocodile. Very good food and the staff are excellent. I have read good reviews about this hotel and decided to check if they had any rooms available for the weekend. I had no luck but the receptionist was kind enough to give me drink vouchers whilst dining at Le Crocodile. I bought a tote bag at the end of the night, a simple remembrance of the hotel and the same staff that gave me the vouchers, included a note book! I was surprised and very pleased with the customer service. I left with a smile! I am definitely coming back!

I usually do not write reviews, but my experience at this dump was horrible. I wish to warn others. After I checked in, I found the room to be dirty, the bathroom toilet had feces on it, there was dust and dirt on the floors and the room smelled. I requested that the room be cleaned, that happened lackluster after 3 hours and after I had left the room. The cleaning person spent more time going through my belongings rather than cleaning the room. The people at the front desk have bad attitudes, were lazy, grossly incompetent, unconcerned and nasty. There is a person who works there named Tyrone, horrible person, nasty attitude and not there to assist anyone. He was busy flirting with the so called manager rather than providing customer service. He needs to be terminated. The restaurant attached to the hotel is Le Crocodile, do not eat there, the food is overly salted, not seasoned well, not fresh, and the wait staff will get your order mixed up. They appear to be nice but do not understand English and get upset when they mess up your order. If you pay through the hotel on your hotel bill, it will be mixed up. I ordered for room service, disasterous and Tyrone at the front desk tried to humiliate me when I requested a credit. I did not eat any of the food, not what I ordered and it looked gross. I personally returned the food. I had eaten at the restaurant the previous day with friends and everyone was dissatified with the food. I did the room service for convenience, what a mistake. I usually stay at the Wiulliamsburgh hotel, now under renovations. I will never ever stay at the Wythe again. The hotel staff ruined my stay in Brooklyn.

Noisy chaos most expensive rooms above pounding music bar. Unprofessional staff wife called down for coffee 2x yesterday still waiting for it a day later. Minimal amenities, 1st hotel visited w/o coffee maker nickel and dime at every turn

Fabulous weekend stay to visit our son who just moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn. The physical space is beautiful and couldn't represent the heritage of Williamsburg/Brooklyn better. The staff was incredibly well-trained and friendly, consistent throughout our stay. Manhattan-view King was clean, stylish, and fun. Great bathroom that shared room's view of Manhattan from shower. Bar at Le Crocodile was terrific. Only suggestions to elevate experience; offer valet parking and open rooftop bar earlier. Thank you all.

A wonderful place! It took me months to choose a hotel for our trip to the USA and I can say with complete conviction that I made the right decision. Couldn't be happier with my selection. Where should I start?! The building itself: it has been wonderfully made, such a great old building has been restored with so much care - be sure to read the history of the building. Here you can see so much attention to detail from the inside and outside. I have read all (really all, on all rating portals, social media, etc.) reviews about this hotel in advance. I think it's a pity that a few describe it as a cold place, then unfortunately the architecture here has not been understood. It's not a cold place quite the contrary, a warm place where you can feel welcome if you allow it :) - much better than a hotel from a large hotel chain company. Let's come to the room. We have a king room on floor 4. The room size is really generous, the bed is huge. In the bathroom a nice large shower overlooking the Manhattan skyline! I will never forget this view when showering. The room is wonderfully bright. A large window overlooking Brooklyn and Manhattan floor-to-ceiling windows. It's wonderful to wake up here in the morning and watch the sunrise. The entire hotel staff is super friendly and gives and always the feeling of being welcome in this place. Our room was absolutely clean on arrival and even during our stay everything is kept reliably clean. Regarding the volume that is often an issue: it is true that it could not be completely quiet! In our case, we have a building technology device outside under the window - I don't know exactly what it is - I assume it has to do with air conditioning, I'm from Germany and I don't know so well about it. In any case, this device hums all day. We don't care. The room is so nice and we didn't want to leave it 😍 We quickly got used to the noise, but I could imagine that it could disturb others. But I think there are enough rooms where they can escape this noise. We have a venue opposite there was an event with loud music on Sundays, and it didn't mind either and it even ended before 11 p.m. I haven't experienced a weekend here yet, I assume it can/will get louder. But I think that's Williamsburg, there's a lot going on here and that shouldn't bother you or maybe you'd better look for another place if you're not okay with it. The whole environment here is super beautiful and it's fun to explore everything. We are in the USA for the first time and were unsure about many things in advance, but now we just feel comfortable. We haven't even left yet but have already decided to go to Wythe Hotel again next year.
