We had a wonderful 1 night stay at the beautiful Ritz Carlton New York,NoMad First off the check in and arrival we arrived at 1:30 because we had an early flight once we got to the hotel two nice gentlemen held the door for us and when we went to check in the lady was super nice and friendly and we booked a Empire State room with two double beds and since we arrived a little early they said it would be ready in a while so we waited in the lobby lounge and relaxed then after that our room was ready we were in room 2011 on the 20th floor and l like how you can select your floor or amenities via a touchscreen to figure out where to go so once we got into our room we immediately were blown away by the space we had a lot of storage space the bathroom was spacious with two sinks and a steam shower which is really cool and the beds were so comfy that we had a good night sleep the only negative part is that last night we were woken up by the fire department 3 times and it was making noise that some of us could not sleep well but other than that we liked the coffee maker the table with 2 chairs and the ability since this a high tech room to control the brightness in our room we did like the tv though but in the beginning it glitched a little bit but overall we truly enjoyed this hotel and thank you to all the staff at this hotel who went above and beyond to provide a great stay for us By the way we were celebrating and they gave us a delicious cake which was so good Thank you The Stella’s Valerie Greg and John

The good: The hotel is beautiful. We had a lovely view from our room and the amenities in the room were lovely ( really loved the Diptych toiletries). We had a drink at Nubeluz - the view is amazing and worth making a reservation for. The hotel makes an admirable effort to not use plastic which I really appreciated. The cleaning staff was top notch. The not so good:the front desk staff was not very friendy or helpful. requests we made prior to arrival were not documented or delivered . Once we checked in we asked for late checkout and later discovered that the person we spoke with had not documented it. Our keys kept malfunctioning and the desk was not great I. Dealing with it. Not huge complaints, but given the price they have some kinks and staff training to work out.

I will be honest, I never wanted to stay at a Ritz Carlton. It was just not my type of brand. I have always stayed at the Edition when I came to NYC. However the Edition is getting a bit worn , so I decided to stay at the Ritz Carlton Nomad. It was amazing, I am not going to lie. The room was beautiful , the bars in the hotel were great, the Zaytinya restaurant was great. I ate lunch there two days in a row…which is saying something since we are in NYC for goodness sake. I believe the style at the Nomad RC is a lot hipper than most Ritz Carlton's. Yes, it is expensive, but justified for what you get.
