Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square West Reviews

The location is a bit of a walk from Times Square and when walking back at night, I was aggressively approached by a black male who was yelling “do not walk here” and he lunged towards me causing me to jump back. The room was relatively clean with basic amenities provided. Housekeeping is only done after 4pm for my room but might differ for others. Early check in is available at a cost (cannot remember whether it’s USD100-150) when I called to enquire ahead of my stay. Not an issue as I could leave my luggage at the hotel in the morning and check in at 3pm.

Check in process was fast and easy. The lobby was cramped though. The room itself was clean and tidy with a comfy king bed. The area around the building is not the best though.

Superb location and very comfortable room! Hotel is large and very popular so is busy and lift time can be a wait. Air con is very noisy but appreciated in the heat. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend for an affordable comfortable stay around the corner from a main subway station.

No fridge. When we Google it always path to DoubleTree hilton Soulth instead. Need to key in full name which is very long.

It's very small room can't fix 3 adults or family of 2 kids. Room is dirty and not as bright as picture shown Think twice!!

Everything was good and in expectation. The location also was good n convenient.

The maintainence of the hotel is very poor with lifts in poor conditions. Ice machines not working on floor 34 and 36 and yet no notice placed on the machine. Check in was also haphazard and service poor Not befitting the Hilton name or the stars it supposedly has. The neighbouring unknown hotel was in better condition

Good location, and it has all the basic amenities. Breakfast was a really nice surprise. Would stay away if you're looking for a quiet place though as it's quite crowded.

Hotel is in a great location, walk out of the front door take a right and your almost at Times Square. The rooms are small but comfortable very noisy air conditioning that doesn’t seem to turn off. Shampoo conditioner and soap etc in the bathroom. Hair dryer too. Breakfast buffet is $25 is great value it’s delicious. Bar staff in the evening don’t seem to have the best customer service skills but restaurant staff are great.

Cosy and convenient with shops and restaurants just around the corner.

The location of the hotel is very good, walking distance from the Central park, Times Square and Madison Square Garden. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well maintained every day, although signs of aging of the furniture and amenities are visible. The restaurant on the ground floor is open every day, but the rooftop bar, with an amazing view over the city, only from Thursday till Sunday. The hotel is very busy and it is constantly difficult to catch an elevator, while the entrance of the hotel was probably the biggest disappointment. This area is being used as a storage for laundry containers and smoking area, while windows are not being cleaned and overall it is completely neglected... With a small investment, this area can be transformed into an amazing outdoor space that can completely change the impression of the hotel. Big plus is that every morning, free filter coffee is served at the reception for all guests.
