The room was way too small. Could not unlock door. Had to insist that they give us another room. Would never stay again at any Holiday Inns hotel.

The room is too small, not very good for activities, if you lose something, please ask the counter to help you find it, completely ignore it

The hotel is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was great. The shuttle service to the ferry terminal was not available, but they took the Uber charge off our room. The down side is the location, it's not the best area. Not really near anything. There are 2 hotels right next door that don't appear to be in very good shape.

Do not stay here or any of the other hotels nearby as they have a very bad problem with security and the people that are staying at the hotels nearby are just hanging outside all night playing music and drinking and the Fairfield Inn refused to do anything about it.

- a shuttle to the ferry is promised during booking but in the day of the checkin/out shuttle is not provided. Shuttle is only every 2 hours and doesn’t run after 08:30 pm - even after booking for 2 people, the complimentary drinks/food is provided only for one - breakfast spread is not edible

I can’t stay enough about the customer service. Elle couldn’t have been any sweeter. I even called before I went because I was nervous about the migrant hotels next to the hotel. She was very patient and answered all my questions. Albert was great taking us to the ferry, really enjoyed our conversation. Rob was very nice too. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was also very good. Being in hospitality for 40 years I was very happy with our stay.

So I want to start by saying I am not generally one to write negative reviews. Unfortunately, after my stay at this hotel, I felt compelled to share my experience with as many people as possible to prevent them from making the same mistake that we did. $468 for a two night stay. Body wash was not properly stocked in the shower. Was not provided with any washcloths. When asked about getting these basic items, we were told that housekeeping would take care of it, but they did not. Also, we were told that if we wanted our room cleaned during our stay, we just had to ask the front desk. When we made such request, a poor job was done. The only portion of the room that was turned down was the bedding. Garbages were not emptied. Towels taken away and not replaced. The hotel did not have enough towels to keep our room adequately stocked for the guests staying in there. When we asked for more towels from the housekeeper, she told us she could not give us any because that’s all she had for the rest of the rooms she needed to clean for the day. We were also not given a room key. There is an issue with their equipment and software that prevented them from issuing room keys to certain rooms. You had to work with the front desk to get access to your room every time you needed the door unlocked. This was a major inconvenience. We were told that because of the fact that it happened on a Friday IT was not going to be able to fix it until at least Monday, after we left. we had an amazing time at the event we attended while we were down in Staten Island, but it was unfortunate that this poor stay put such a damper on what would have and should have been a 100% positive experience.
Response from Property: Thank you for staying at the Fairfield Staten Island. We are sorry that you were not happy with the service that you received at the hotel. There are no excuses for some of the issues that you had, and your feedback willbe brought up at our next staff meeting and dealt with. As far as the key problem is concerned, this was a major issue for us during the weekend you were here. Please understand that we did everything in our power to resolve it. Unfortunately, it was out of our hands, and we dealt with it in the best way possible. We understand that it was an inconvenience for our guests. It has been resolved, and hopefully won't happen again. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and hope that you will stay with us again under better circumstances. Respectfully,

We arrived for check-in at about noon for an overnight stay with ferry rides to Manhattan. Jeff was at the front desk and he could not have done more to make us welcome, including making arrangements for the shuttle to the ferry. he bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was decent for the hotel.

We stayed in February of 2023, having traveled back to our home town from out of state for my adult daughter's birthday. I was reminded because my husband asked if we were going back this year - and warned me against booking this hotel ever again. I booked it because I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member, and because the Hilton on South Avenue was all booked up for a wedding. I know the area, but didn't connect the address with the actual location until I got there. That was my mistake. The hotel itself ... isn't completely horrible. That's about the best endorsement I could give it. It's a bit shabby, with worn carpet and upholstery, and a burn on the sink (non-smoking hotel?). But Staten Island is out of the way, and I know from experience there are worse places in that town. Even so - Marriott considers this a 3-star property, and it just isn't; it's a solid 2, so know what you're getting into. In 2021, there was an SNL skit with Billie Eilish called "Hotel Ad." It might have been written for this place. Here's a pertinent line: "Situated between the DMV and a darkened Sonic, it’s the location that will make your Uber driver say, 'You’re sure?' " It's literally like that. The hotel is behind a defunct strip mall that even the DMV abandoned, and right next to the highway. The highway is the good part; you won't have to drive around to find it. Considering the ghost town vibe, the price is frankly hilarious, and reflects what you might call a "Hey, it's inside NYC City Limits" premium. The same dates this year are going for the same price over at the Hilton, and South Avenue, while not exactly walkable, at least isn't scary. I say this as a native. Really, don't stay there.

Stayed for a couple nights. The staff were very nice and handled all requests. Breakfast was the standard hotel complimentary food. It was right in the middle for our travels, so the perfect location.

RUN AWAY! This hotel is absolutlyhorrible! Out of the 3 rooms we had, we found a pair of men's dirty underwater in one and a vial of cosine in the other! When my son and his family were packing to check out, he asked his 8 year old daughter to check the room one last time for any of her toys or her 1 year old brothers toys. When she looked next to/under the bed, she picked up the container of ******* not knowing what it was! My husband, having been in law enforcement for 30+ years, knew instantly what it was. When we went to the front desk to complain, they seemed to not care! So much so that the Operations Manager who we were taking with, left the conversation to go jogging!! What professional leaves in the middle of a important convesation to go jogging! His actions totally reflect those of the hotel! The hotel didn't offer us a refund or even an apology!! When we booked this hotel, we specifically asked about a shuttle to the Staten Island Ferry. We were told that there was one and that it was about a 10-20 minute trip. Every time we called, we asked about the Ferry. Since our entire group of 8 was planning on visiting the Statue of Liberty and Times Square, this was important to us. We were told to check in and book reervations to guarantee our trip. As soon as we checked in, we asked about the shuttle, We were told that the shuttle was being used by a wedding and therefore unavailable! They suggested that we take Uber. Since there were 7 of us and a baby, this required 2 Ubers. $200 later we returned to the hotel and asked about reimbursement for the Uber's. We were told that we were out of luck and that they would not reimburse us! So much for good custoner service!!!

I stay 5 day's . They don't clean my room. I asked morning time for service, they said this afternoon will be clean your room. I went outside come back 10pm , i see room is not clean. I asked again, they said tomorrow morning we will clean your room. Same thing happened every day's. When i am checked out, i informed front desk, I told them, please informed General Manager, i don't get service not a single day. He say's OK. No Sorry or Apologizes. Look like this normal for them. Shame, Shame, Shame. This property is very bad for Marriott Business. Marriott is Good Hotel. They suppose to take License from this property. ( I don't have, Do not disturb sign on the door. )
