We understand that the hotel has only been open for 2 weeks and hasn't yet got all it's services running, however that did not stop us experiencing a fabulous, but very simple lunch earlier today. We are tourists in NYC in the city for a few days and we'd just been cycling around Central Park so were in need of some food and a drink! We explained to the lady in charge that we weren't looking for a large meal more a snack, nonetheless she welcomed us warmly into the casual dining Garden Restaurant. We chose probably the simplest pasta dishes on the (mainly) Italian menu, my wife ordered Fusilli Bolognese and I ordered Spaghetti Pomodoro. Additionally we both ordered a Botanist gin cocktail. The latter was delicious, surprisingly for what was an embellished G&T, the flavours were beautiful. The various breads offered were very appropriate for Italian food and again great. However the stars of this ultra simple lunch was the pasta. Wow, the Pomodoro pasta was bursting with fresh cherry tomatoes and a lovely creamy sauce, I can't remember the last time I had such great pasta. My wife raved over her Bolognese ragu too. We finished the meal by sharing a tiramisu, which is often very ordinary, not this one! All in all a quick but awesome lunch. Definitely not cheap, but worth it. Interestingly a neighbouring table had I think the same spaghetti dish and complained that it was too salty for him, goes to show we all have different ideas of what's good. Service was attentive and friendly.

Great to back at such an iconic, classic property. They certainly don't make hotels like this anymore and you sometimes need a few moments just to take in the vastness of the lobby, the beautiful Garden restaurant and the fantastic TY Bar. Meals while staying there were consistently delicious and the cocktails at the lounge were fantastic. My room was clean, nicely appointed and super comfortable, with all of the amenities befitting a Four Seasons. The best though, was the superstar concierge team, who got me into every restaurant I wanted to dine at. They worked miracles (I still don't know how they did it) but felt like they gave me keys to the city. Wonderful stay.

The Four Seasons New York has always been a favorite and it was a special joy to return and celebrate my daughter’s birthday. They pulled out all the stops to create an incredible and memorable stay, especially Johannes and the in room dining team who created the most incredible welcome amenity. The location, the gorgeous generous rooms, the good food, but above all the kindness and thoughtfulness of each member of the team make this truly a joy to return to. Usually I’m cautious about going to a new or reopening property too early but new GM Michael Dedera has worked his magic and reassembled the best of the best team. The Four Seasons New York is better than ever and we are already planning a return trip.

The hotel location was great. We amazed and surprised when we greet by a warm welcoming by the hotel staff, after a long haul flight. The service overall was excellence, I enjoy the breakfast especially the ommelete, I hope I could stay here again.

They were permitted to build a very tall tower as long as they set aside some public space next door. There is a lovely park next to the hotel, but the hotewl does NOTHING to keep it clean The garbage cans are never emptied and there is debris blowing around it all of the time. Everytimne I left the hotel it was disgusting

New York is not short of excellent hotels but the four seasons remains at the top of the pile for me. Yes, it’s not cheap….but nothing is in NY these days. Rooms are excellent but the service from staff and the many food options are all first class. Go and enjoy !

It is as good as they say. No surprises. They provided the highest level of service, but with minimal intrusion. I've never seen this done so well. This place is eye-wateringly expensive, even by NY standards..

Arrogant Reception &Concierge staff Never seen a supposedly five stars hotel , with so many arrogant staff. My God they hardly smile and serve as they are doing you a favor ! Even the doorman, he was so rude when I dropped the 10$ bill and had the one$ in my hand ; when I gave him the 10 , he said I thought it was the one dollar which I would have given it back to you !! Never again I was so glad to find the Mandarin Oriental hotel , a true classy hotel with the most friendly and polite staff , my favorite NY hotel .
