Roof top restaurant is closed since pandemic but advertised as open. Cleanliness is below expected and front desk stuff would not even call taxi for us while leaving. Super old amenities and entire furnishing. No hair dryer nor basic kitchen/ bathroom supplies.

This hotel is very old and has little to no amenities. No coffee, in the room, or lobby. No USB ports for phone chargers in the room. No food. I tried to switch from a King to 2 queen beds, which still showed available on the sight, and cheaper than the original price of my room. They wanted to charge me $150 to switch rooms.the windows are so thin that we could hear everything on the street. Very difficult to sleep. Won’t ever stay here again.

This hotel is a fantastic option if you have the right expectations. Pros: Fantastic location, huge rooms (for NYC), clean, no extra charge for 3 or 4th guest in 2-queen rooms, great price Cons: This seems like it was previously a 4 or 5 star hotel that hasn't had much maintenance in the last 30 years and is now a limited service hotel offering reasonable prices. It is clean but a little rough around the edges (could use some paint and wallpaper repairs, some stains in carpets, etc). Staff are very nice but sparse, so you may need to have a little patience at check-in, towel requests etc. Overall, I think it's a good value for money, especially if you're a family and don't want to pay for an extra room for the kids. The pictures are very accurate in terms of what the place will look like, though they don't show some of the slightly shabby aspects.

Very rude staff. No shampoo or conditioners given. They have no towels too. Extremely rude staff. They didn’t care at all.

I really enjoyed my stay, the bed was huge and comfortable and it had a bath which was a big plus. The wifi was good and the room was clean. Good friendly service, would stay here again :)

I forgot to take pictures. The hotel is retro and the staff has a good service attitude. We have a lot of luggage and they are very proactive in helping us move our luggage when we check in and check out. AVOID THIS HEADACHE! Nobody cares about you, your time, your stay or the money you’re spending. Empty promises made from the beginning. Full stay for 2 rooms charged immediately upon booking. Even though it states only a deposit due. Book 2 King one-bedroom suites. Do not get them upon check in. Book both rooms adjoining. Confirmed multiple times the rooms would be adjoining for my party of 6. Assigned room 703 and 1604. No hand soap in bathrooms. Offered shampoo instead. $60 CVS run the first night for the basic hotel amenities. No bath towels on housekeeping cart. Handed bathmats. Phone does not work in hotel to call to front desk. Current removal of tree growing out of building. Jack hammering starts at 7:50am sharp. Water either luke warm or scalding hot. Shower knob falls off when adjusting water temp. Be careful it doesn't fall off while the water is boiling. Promised late check out. Housekeeping at the door waiting at 11am to state we do not have late check out. Front desk states only one room can have late checkout so frantically pack the other 3 in your party and move them to your room. And you have until 1pm not 3pm like you were originally told. 12:55pm 3 housekeepers waiting to make their way into the room while the 6 of you trying to make trips to the only elevator that was operational. GO SOMEPLACE THAT AT LEAST GIVES YOU SOAP TO WASH YOUR HANDS!

Yes, it’s a little dated and frayed around the edges but overall I was pleased with my stay and thought it was good value for its location and comfort. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were thorough, the shower pressure excellent and beds comfortable. The rooms are also generous in size with a little kitchenette (fridge / microwave) … I’ve paid a lot more for rooms half the size in New York
