Location was superb, next to the main subway station. The concierge staff was very friendly. They need to check that you're a guest before you can walk in to the hotel - this is probably because their lift does not enable guest only access to each floor - you do not need a card to go up to any floor. They charge a $39.99 destination fee and give you a $15 market value to buy food everyday.. (500ml water for $7.5, plain bagel for $5, ham and cheese bagel for $18...) They charge $4/bag for baggage storage after you check out.. Other than these 'small' charges, everything else is good.

Because the plane was late, I arrived at the hotel at 1 o'clock in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk helped me to check in very quickly. It was the speed of New York. Hotel location is very good. About 5 minutes walk to Fifth Avenue, turn to Central Park, and the subway station will walk for 5 minutes. The hotel is a post-modern urban minimalist style, the room is good, very New York apartment feel, but the breakfast is a bit too casual, too simple, but the breakfast at the New York hotel is probably so good, it is a very good hotel

I’ve been returning to this immaculate Hampton inn location again and again over the years and it seems to both maintain its original look and feel while still being fresh, modern, and easily accessible , a short block from Grand Central. Happy overally with the stay, but I would recomend using a card for the deposit that you can lock. At 1:00 am, THREE WEEKS after my stay, the hotel attempted to charge $50 on my credit card that I used for the room security. There was nothing that should have been charged, and the hotel advised that ”it was just our system” - no explanation why the ”system” was attempting to charge my card, and there were no incidental charges to the room. I'm glad the fraud guard on my credit card declined the transaction, since I may have missed the charge if I were not alerted to the possible fraud.

Location and facilities are great. Close to the subway station and they have a gym and a place for breakfast. However, our room had a really strong smell that is coming from the carpet which smelled like bleach covering some vomit or stinky milk. It was so bad the minute you enter the room you can smell it. We tried opening the window for the whole night, the smell’s still here. Tried seek help from the front desk and they said they sent a machine to suck out the air in the room. But when we’re back to the room, it still stinks. Also, the blanket for the sofa bed seems dirty, it has a lot of stains on it…

When you stay at holidayin, you will feel that the global chain brand is trustworthy. The layout of the room is very compact; the mattress and quilt are very comfortable; the hot water supply in the shower room is very good, and the shampoo and hair care series uses the Dove brand; the only drawback is that the air conditioner makes noise when adjusting the temperature, and the external environment is facing the street. There is a simple meal on the first floor for $8, and you can choose three of several types of bread, cakes, juice drinks, mineral water, etc.; I prefer to drink juice, and I choose apple juice, orange juice and corn cake on the first day; I choose 2 bottles of apples on the second day juice and corn cake. When traveling overseas, it is a relatively good hotel choice.
