The service is excellent and very helpful when we have a parking issue. The hotel location may not be easily accessed by car, and you need to check with the counter before you drive directly.

The room was clean and very nice!! I couldn't make the check-in time due to my flight, but since I contacted them in advance, they kindly waited for me even though it was late at night and explained everything to me.

As beautiful as in the photo When checking in, he also explained everything in the room carefully. Take us on a tour of the floors Coffee machine and snacks are provided for free There is a bathtub in the room and comes with bath detergent. After a whole day of shopping at Jiufen Old Street, go back and enjoy some delicious food. It’s fun and enjoyable to take a bath to relieve fatigue and enjoy the night view.

Something Easy Inn is located in the Old Street (老街) of Jiufen. Our room was comfortable, cosy, spacious and well equipped, with a balcony and sea view. 小燕 Xiaoyan, who received us when we checked in, is very friendly and helpful. She spent time explaining the room’s amenities, recommended a restaurant for dinner and booked us a taxi to take us to Ruifang train station the next day. While Something Easy Inn doesn’t provide cooked breakfast, it provides an assortment of bread buns, savoury and sweet cereals, snacks, coffee and tea in the room. This is a place we will be happy to book again the next time we visit Jiufen.

Lovely stay in a cosy and clean room. Felt like we we were living in a cave. The room came with a small living/reading nook, viewing area and a huge bathroom. Plenty of snacks were provided in the mini bar in case we go hungry. Location was a little hard to get to but it was worth it. Dont carry a luggage! Even though it was dampening that it rained heavily in jiufen, we enjoyed time spent in the room gazing at the view.

One must understand that this was kind of a breakfast and bed accommodation and not a hotel. The location was tough to find and the taxi driver actually gave up after a few attempts circling the place. This was despite me telling him to drop me at JiuFen Elementary school. I must say that the B&B was very sincere in providing its guests with all the necessary information in locating the place. It came through my email with full details on how to arrive at the location. But apparently not all taxi drivers were aware. It would not be ideal to check in with large luggage, otherwise you would see yourself towing up those never-seem-ending steps of stairs. The housekeeper was extremely polite, respectful and professional. There were only a few rooms in the property but I think there were other such home stay accommodation nearby which were under the same boss. I've booked the bigger room. View was spectacular. There was free flow of packet drinks, coffee, oats and bread at level 4. The exclusive platform on the foof top provided an unblocked view. Climbing up and down the stairs could be a chore if you have weak knees. The room was slightly dim at night and I thought it would be good if it could be brighter. The quality of the bath towel could be improved also. The colors on the towel were obviously wearing off and it looked dirty. Other than that, the view alone could win you over!

If you been to Taiwan, you might been to JiuFen. If you have not, I recommend you planning a visit there on your next visit. A little hillside town – JiuFen dubbed Spirited Away of Taiwan is located at north of Taipei. It will take you around 1hr from Taipei City to this place. This is my second time and decided to have a little staycation with friends. Something Easy Inn top the list of B&B (yes, there are no commercial hotels here, and B&B/Inns are famous around this area as legit businesses). At first I was attracted by the double rooms equip with bath + views, but they are not available during our impromptu weekend staycation, the only availability is only the triple room which is a more family/group style room. The triple room is good for a group of 3-4 pax. There were only three of us, and there are still plenty of space moving around, although I wish they place a sofa/couch instead of single individual chairs or barstools. JiuFen is always wet – do plan your trip during the dry season (although we went in June) if you don’t wish to experience the damp of JiuFen. The bed was decent enough for B&B, the shower was awesome – great pressure, big enough to fit two pax :D.. the air-conditioning place weirdly in the room though - only blowing in the direction of the living area so we ask for a floor fan to divert the air which they have. Something easy, something to mention is their hospitality. I must say, thoughtful owner to place multiple choices of snacks/ instant food and drinks at their “minibar” which is complimentary – I forgot to take a photo. Expect convenience like a electric shoe dryer in your room too. They also prepare slippers for you in case you decide to change your sneakers to the non-slippery sandals available to use around the area. Also to mention is their “Golden Bar” which is the same owner I think. If you like cocktails with a view, and craft beer, this is your place! Expect home cook style of food here too. They don’t do reservation – as I was told, but they will prioritize guest from Something Easy and Two Easy (another range of their B&B) in the same area. JiuFen is all about the locals, local food, local vibes, local culture. And it’s also all about their breathtaking view.. While the dry season prevent you from getting wet and damp, the winter season has a nice breeze throughout your visit. I rated it 4/5 as I feel they can do better (like placing a couch instead of those chairs), and also really prioritize guest at their Golden Bar. I’m not sure how they can make guest to feel more “worth it” as the rate that I paid was close to something I pay for 5* hotels in Taipei which is high for B&B style of accommodation. It’s only matter of time when another nice looking B&B build here at JiuFen and I do hope Something Easy can maintain their top spot for it’s location and their hospitality.
