Hotel Cham Cham - Taipei Reviews

A supposedly 4 star hotel that delivers the bare minimum. Nothing to shout about, had an unobjectionable stay here in January this year and was happy with the location and relatively clean room so decided to book again for 5 nights for my recent trip. Regretted my decision as I felt that the service was lackluster. Upon entering the room we saw that the double bed was made up by 2 twin beds unlike our initial experience so we approached the front desk to enquire if a change was possible as we do not like the feel of the gap between the beds and the light switches were behind our pillows making the lights on/off if we were to even lightly lean on the headboard. The answer we got was that we should have indicated that request upon check in and it is a common process for hotels to join 2 twin beds and sell them as a double room. The front desk manager also said the check in rate was 98% that night. We then asked if we could have a change the next day and the reply was to come down and check again tmr. No effort to assist and instead all we felt was him trying the shift the blame to us when all we requested was a double bed when it is available. That left an extremely sour taste in our mouth. The next morning, I woke up with red bites on my arms, legs and torso, however my partner didn't had any so I did not relate it to the cleanliness of the room. The next 2 morning remained to be the same and we requested a change of room which we were given. The itchiness subsided after the change. The staff also passed a cream for itchness to me. But she mentioned it may be mosquito bites which I can tell it isn't as they are in clusters. Location was convenient for us as it is near the banqiao transfer station and there are food choices around the hotel as well as a few family marts.

100m to Banqiao Station. Cleanliness & my view from my room of the street was amazing. Room is big. The bed so comfort. Will stay here again if i visit Taipei

Great stay here at Hotel Cham Cham. Conveniently located nearby the metro and bus station, easy to navigate. Love the room, it’s spacious and comfy! Would recommend

Hotel is big, new and nice. Separated washroom and bathroom is a great plus. The location is slightly further away but we took Uber to our destinations. Nearby has shopping malls.

The room is quite comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel is good and convenient. The services of the hotel need to improve because the staff is not that friendly.

Hotel location is extremely good. Banqiao MRT and High Speed Railway station is only 5-min walk. Convenience store is just around the corner. There is a great variety of restaurants in the area, including local ********* food, western/ Japanese cuisine, cafe, congee and you can name it. Of course, it is not far from the night market. Department store is across the street. Many massage shops are available too. As to the hotel, room is clean and staff are helpful. I will definitely stay here again if I come to Taipei in the future.

Perfect location, clean environment and nice receptionist. Though we cannot deposit the luggage overnight after checking out, still the best choice when visiting Taipei.

Convenient location…. Hotel room is clean and spacious Lack of barrier free facilities, we have to walk up to hotel’s entrance for check-in with luggages … Lack of in-house restaurants …. Hotel lifts very slow ….
