Clean, large rooms, free breakfast (not continental!) and close to many restaurants. If staying in New Rochelle it’s a good choice.

Staff nice, attentive. The room stank like someone had cooked anchovies in room and spilled the juice on the floor. Was pretty bad odor. The couch was lumpy. A dump for the price.

I like the hotel location and the room size. I did not like the design of the room. There is no decoration, no color, and only bare and cheap furniture so it could be replaced easily when damaged by guests and their children. There isn't even counter space for our toiletry in the bathroom.
The breakfast is as cold as the room. This is my first time in Marriott Residence, very disappointing.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, the room was minimally appointed and needed supplies were not available. Considering the price point of the hotel, I expected more.

The staff was excellent. My stay was good. While the property claims to have been “renovated” it was just a paint and carpet makeover. The drywall had poorly patched holes and the door between the living and bedroom had been kicked in and poorly repaired, but the knob was backwards and didn’t latch. The post office facility next door starts work noisily at 4:30 am. Otherwise quiet. Convenient to the MTA train. 40 mins to NYC.

I use to live at 5 Anderson St. But moved to VA. I am glad I chose this hotel to stay. I will recommend it to anyone coming to New Rochelle. And if I have to use it again, I will with no hesitation. Thank you all for a pleasant stay.
