Quest New Plymouth Serviced Apartments
4.1/576 Reviews
We have been staying at Quest whenever we find one in the town or city we're travelling to. Quest never disappoints and this time was certainly not an exception. The place is very well located, right in the heart of town. just across the street from NP shopping centre, The museum, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and even the big box retail stores and supermarkets. We booked one-bedroom apartment for a 6-night stay. The apartment is spacious with many amenities in the kitchenet to prepare and cook food, A washer and dryer pair in the bathroom; in fact, the only not-so up to standards is the limited TV channels although the range and diversity of films offered kind of make up for it. We would certainly be returning when in NP again.

A very pleasant 3 nights. Very roomy hotel,in pristine condition. In walking distance of main shopping mall an numerous restaurants.impossible to find any faults. Will definitely be 1st choice when we return to New Plymouth. The staff were unobtrusive but very helpful if required. Easy and convenient parking.
King and Queen Hotel Suites

Great location in a beautiful precinct close to art galleries, nice eateries and the New Plymouth water front. The King Henry apartment suited our family of five well, with a large safe covered outdoor area, good clean kitchen, large clean bathrooms, modern décor, warm, relaxing vibe and really helpful friendly staff.

The Place is situated in a very convenient location very close to the city center. We were a group of 8. Rooms were of a decent size. Sheets, pillow covers, towels were clean and fresh. Brett was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Overall it was a pleasant experience for us all. Brian
Egmont Eco Leisure Park & Backpackers
3.5/511 Reviews
I have stayed at Egmont Eco Lodge some 5-6 times over the past 8 years and have watched it go steadily downhill. For me, it's always been a convenient place to stay before and after climbing the mountain but my most recent booking will be my last. It is disappointing to see that my feedback is consistent with many others. The lodge appears to be used as emergency accommodation, which is something I am not generally opposed to (the government pays the operators double the market rate) but it should not be also run as tourist and visitor accommodation, or at least, the visitors should be told about this at the time of making their booking. I had a two night reservation and had to leave after the first sleepless night. The few hours spent there I had to put up with people fighting, smoking, drinking and verbally abusing each other right outside my room. The room and facilities overall were dirty and the room was filled with cigarette odour. There wasn't anyone at the reception the following morning so I left the keys and departed. I believe the operator is misleading their guest as the accommodation is definitely not worth the $170 that I paid to stay there and most definitely not what it is being advertised as. I would encourage anyone considering staying at Egmont Eco Lodge to look at alternative options available to them, as there are plenty in New Plymouth and the surrounding townships.
