My daughter and I stayed at the Royal Street Inn. We loved it. The room was so quaint and up to date. The manager was awesome. We were near the French Quarter, Bourbon Street and the French Market. But, couldn’t hear a thing at night. We would stay again. If you are a couple , friends, this place won’t disappoint.

We visit New Orleans at least once a year and like to try different hotels, but be in a certain area of the French quarter/Marigny. We’ve been wanting to try the Royal Street Inn for a while and finally booked it for this most recent trip over Easter weekend. R Bar has long been one of my favorite places to hang out for some drinks, and the location is perfect for a quick walk to the French Quarter and visiting all the good spots on Frenchmen Street. We stayed in the Mississippi suite on the second floor, which had access to an awesome balcony where we sat and had drinks to watch the April Fools Day Parade, always a reason to party in Nola! Check-in was very easy in the bar and they helped us with our bags up to the room. And they give you tokens for two free drinks, bonus! Check out was equally as easy and they were very accommodating being able to hold our bags for the 4+ hours between check out and needing to leave for the airport. The room itself was spacious with a separate seating area and it had a really great coffee machine. My only negative comments about the room was a lack of storage, there were no drawers or a dresser to put anything in and there was a lack of shelves in the bathroom. I also tend to need to work when I’m on vacation so for me, it was hard to not have a little table or desk area where I could work on my laptop. But those were minimal inconveniences and not enough for me to not consider a return stay, we peaked into the largest suite across the hall from us and it was massive with a large seating area, so I will just have to book that room the next time! If you’re looking for Luxe rooms and spa services, this wouldn’t be the place for you. But overall, with R Bar downstairs and the location, the place had a really great vibe and I would definitely recommend it for a fun stay in that area of the FQ/Marigny.

Loved the Royal Street Inn. In the fun Frenchman area where locals hang out and music can be found everywhere, just outside of the French Quarter. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Mississippi Room, which had much charm and character, and had access to a balcony overlooking the street, which is always the way to go in New Orleans! And tokens for two free drinks from the bar below upon check-in. What more could you want! Be warned, however, the bar below goes until about 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you may want ear plugs. But, when in New Orleans, fun and music at all hours is the name of the game!

Booked the Royal Suite as a New Year treat for ourself and a friend and it absolutely did not disappoint. Room is fantastic, spacious and well equipped. Full of touches like the sound system to hook up to and tables to sit or lounge around. The terrace is great to go out onto and watch the world go by, especially on the morning after the night before as the horse carriages pass by. Staff brilliant from beginning to end. But above all that, it's the location and the vibe. The bar is popular and buzzing, with a great selection of drinks. There was a DJ playing on a couple of nights, plus the well-stocked jukebox. It's a fantastic place to be, you can join in the fun downstairs or retire to the room above and be with your loved ones. You are a two minute wander from other places on Frenchmen, 5-10 from Bourbon St and 15 minutes walk from Jackson Square. Yes it can be a bit noisy but no more than you would expect being above a popular bar on a Saturday night.

My husband and I traveled to New Orleans for a 10 day vacation. We stayed 6 nights at the Roral Street Inn and then moved to other side of the French Quarter for a few more days. We had a great time at the Royal Street Inn! It was a fun atmosphere and we will be staying there again, should we come back to New Orleans. Even though my luggage was delayed by 36 hours due to airline issues, the night time female bartender was so gracious as to drag my huge 50 pound suitcase up two flights of stairs and get it to our room when it came at about 2:15 AM. That was above and beyond what anyone could expect from any establishment. We were fortunate enough to experience the Friday night crawfish boil… which was part of the reason that we booked our stay there over a Friday night. It was also fun to watch Laura and her haircuts on Monday night. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and fun! I might recommend bringing a pair of silicone earplugs if you stay Friday and Saturday night and want to go to sleep before 2AM. The bar gets pretty loud at night. We are so thankful for the bar and inn staff for a fabulous time in New Orleans!

This place was absolutely wonderful. What I'd like to touch on right away is the concerns that some have expressed regarding the noise. We were there during an extremely busy weekend, there were parties outside in the street, a football game showing in the bar downstairs, etc. Yet I still got some of the best sleep in my life. Certain measures have been taken in the bedroom to make it quite calming and to reduce the sound. The colors, lighting, mattress, pillows, etc just create this perfect ambient environment. Plus you have control of music that can play in the room, which was a really nice touch when we walked in and heard Jazz playing as soon as we open the door, but it really came in handy to play some soft piano music at night. Now of course you'll be able to hear the sounds when you are in other parts of the suite, but heck, it honestly just made the whole experience more fun. I was incredibly impressed with the staff as well, we live in Wisconsin and I thought that I had seen some pretty efficient bartenders, but the employees working during our stay or phenomenal. Fast, friendly. This was kind of a special trip for us, but if we have the opportunity to do this again, I definitely hope to stay here again
