Former IHG Hotel Falls Short!!! Rating: ☆☆☆☆ Our recent stay at the former IHG Hotel was a major letdown. Despite its previous affiliation, the reality fell far short of expectations. The advertised pictures are misleading, masking the dated and neglected state of the hotel. Scratchy sheets and a run-down gym only added to the disappointment. Management's transition to a new system led to daily check-ins and out, causing unnecessary inconvenience. Adding insult to injury, billing errors and insecure credit card handling left us feeling uneasy. In summary, this hotel's current state and practices are far from satisfactory. We cut our stay short and advise against booking until significant improvements are made.

It was okay but slight glitches with the tv cutting off every 30 minutes. Room a little dingy. But I would have found a better place if not for the excellent service from Nicole at the front desk. Towels were clean, Beds sheet also. Bed could be better but not bad. Could’ve been worst but it’s not there for sure. It’s okay for travel stay and whatnot.

Our adventure began with a room that had not even been cleaned (reservations made a month prior). After getting a key to another room that did not work, the concierge opened the room for us and discovered it had not been cleaned either. After a third try, we had a room. It smelled stale and musty. The elevator must have been cleaned with a sour dishrag. Hot breakfast items were gone by 8:30. We had a 5 night reservation but moved to a Best Western after just 2. The deciding factor was the smell and the icky not-clean feeling of the building and our room.

I stay at this property at least two days a week, every week. The staff, especially Nicole, is professional, accommodating and friendly. The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is strong, the temperature is hot. Also like the many TV channels. Good location, safe and well-lighted parking. Breakfast is always fresh and hot. Service is excellent. Be sure to try the pancake machine. I like it here.

The room was musty, dank and smelly. We opened the window as far as we could, which isn’t very much because of safety reasons. Even with the bit of fresh air it’s all we could smell while we were in the room. It was late, we were tired, and figured if we asked for another room it would be the same. Please consider cleaning every room thoroughly, not superficially, and definitely steam clean the carpets if you’re not ready to replace them. The staff was professional, the free breakfast was ok, the rest of the hotel generally clean. However, we won’t stay here again.

If you're a federal employee trying to stay here for work, DON'T FORGET your PIV card/ Federal ID. God forbid you're a new employee like me and don't have one yet, they won't allow you to check in with the government rate without it. Doesn't matter if you have your government credit card, government vehicle and tax exemption form. I had no choice but to cancel my stay because as a government employee I CANNOT STAY AT A HOTEL FOR MORE THAN THE GOVERNMENT RATE. After being forced to cancel my stay by the completely unhelpful and heartless hostess/manager, I called IHG customer service to move my reservation to another Holiday Inn (Pineville) which has always allowed me the government rate without a PIV card, and also trying to reschedule my stay in Leesville for the next two weeks, they still refused to waive my cancellation fee which I will have to pay out of my pocket for trying to stay in their crummy hotel for business purposes only. Really nice treatment of a Gold Elite IHG member. Also, lobby smells like pee.

So friendly, great staff. Lisa, our breakfast host, was wonderful. Thanks for the hot, yummy breakfast every morning. Front desk always smiling and welcoming. Bonus: hotel is super clean, quiet, bed comfy, all the things you need while on the road. Thanks for a pleasant visit!
