Premier Inn Lymington (New Forest, Hordle)

Bath was dirty/stained and could do with updating. My bed was fine but wifes bed was to small and uncomfortable also at breakfast twice in a row there was hardly any bread and lack of staff to ask for more.

We can't fault this hotel or the service at all. When we arrived we had been allocated a first floor room and with our mobility issues and no lift that was going to be a challenge. Zoe was on reception and arranged for a ground floor room. Then together with Matthew they brought our bags from the car to the room. Matthew was our server for most of our stay and he and the rest of the staff provided impeccable service. We would certainly recommend this hotel and it's exceptional service.

The place was shabby, looked tired and in need of refurbishment. Upon arrival there were insufficient towels in the room, one of which was still hanging on the bathroom door, wet from the previous occupier of the room, I have stayed in many premier inns over the past 20 years and have never encountered one quite like this. if it hadn't been for the great staff, especially Matthew, i'd have probably left and found somewhere else, the staff seem to be doing their very best with the shabby building. I don't know if its a local issue, but this place seemed to lack anything Premier, other than the price, gone are the little extras like the runner on the beds, the comfy Hypnos Mattress and not even a charging point for a phone beside the bed. It seems that whilst others have upped their game, Premier Inn have only upped their price.

Excellent stay. Rooms clean, food very tasty. We’re able to accommodate the food allergy. All staff very polite, friendly and professional. The meal deal was well worth the price. Will definitely be coming back. Only negative points was the smell of the toilets in the bar and the flash on the toilet in a room was very hard to push. It could have been a newly replaced part or something. However , anyone with weak wrists or strength could have some problems with that.

Excellent location but the hotel did not meet our expectations. Staff were friendly. The room had not been replenished with soap and shampoo. Tea making facilities also not replenished. The shower did not work. No cooked breakfast as they only appear to have one chef who had become incapacitated playing football the day previously we were informed. We were offered a £2 refund. Don't believe we will be coming back here!
