My husband & I stopped at the Garden & Sea Inn on our way to Florida. It was early in the season but they opened the inn for us. The building is beautiful, with interesting architectural elements to see. Our room, the Chardonnay, was perfect! So spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious & the owner sat & chatted with us. She was so welcoming & friendly! We recommneded the Inn to friends who were on their way home from Florida.

I spent my birthday weekend at this lovely Inn. As soon as I stepped on the property, it felt like home. From the Victorian architecture to the lovely garden areas I felt like I discovered new treasures wherever I looked. The room was just perfect and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the comfortable bed with the pretty linens. I swam in the refreshing pool and enjoyed one evening sitting in the screened in gazebo. Home made breakfasts and muffins were so good! The very best thing about my stay were the hosts. Grace and Jeannie couldn't have been more accommodating. I enjoyed this Inn so much, I never left the property. I will be back ❤️

What a beautiful inn, we visited during pony pinning week, and was so surprised at the beauty of this place. The gardens were lush with all kinds of flowers and plants with multiple covered gazebos to enjoy the view. we especially liked the new screened in gazebo with the fire place. The evenings cooled down enough for us to enjoy it. The homes are beautifully restored inside and out. It was just a short drive to Chincoteague so we were able to experience the the pony swim and then retire to our beautifully decorated room. Highly recommended.

5-day stay = $2,090.20. The website states: “Our home-cooked complimentary breakfast (Chef's Choice) is served each morning from 8:30am - 9:30am at an assigned time.” (Does NOT say at discretion of the innkeeper!) Grace said she wasn’t making breakfast Wednesday because some guests were going to that day’s pony swim. We were not...yet we still were denied breakfast. When booking our reservation, Grace said she would make a breakfast for pick-up for our Friday pony swim-back...she did not do that either although the other guests did receive breakfast. When we asked for compensation for the 2 missing breakfasts, we were told that they are “complimentary” and do not have a value. When staying at a B&B one would also expect (and given the cost of this one) that the surroundings would have some type of ”charm”. In that regard, the appearance of the inn itself reflects deterioration and neglect. The following photos show some of the rotted steps, bannisters, rusted pool furniture, and outer building. Also, directly across the street from the fenced-in inn is the “neighborhood”. Grace and her wife, Jeannie, clearly have a lot of fixing up to do! We will report the misleading advertising to BBB, Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Visitor Center, etc.

This B&B was AWESOME! Our host, Grace, was so friendly and generous; she made our trip fun and we loved our conversations! We stayed in the main house, in the Chardonnay room. The bed was more comfortable than our own at home!! The bathroom was HUGE with a beautiful jetted tub! Even though the room was on the first floor, at the front of the house, it was peaceful and I didn’t hear any road noise. Breakfast was amazing!! Always with fruit, a sweet, some juice, a main course and your choice of beverage (mine was coffee). Grace always had snacks, coffee and water available 24/7. There’s lots of cool antique shopping nearby and the beach at Ocean City, MD is a quick drive too! The grounds are beautiful with lots of seating inside and out. If you are on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, you NEED to include this in your stop! Highly recommended!!

This place was amazing. This was our first trip to Chincoteague and Assateague and this place was a perfect location for our home base. We stayed in the Champagne room where we had the whole second floor to ourselves. Very quiet. We were treated every morning to a delightful breakfast cooked by Grace, our gracious host. We will definitely look forward to staying hear on our next trip.

The Inn is a quiet respite near the sea with many quaint, historical towns to explore along route 13. After three days of trail walking, boutique shopping and catching some rays and waves my husband and I returned to a serene retreat each evening. Birds and frogs conversing from the couple of small ponds and variety of trees within the 5 acres of Victorian cottage garden provides a sense of calm. Grace is a most gracious host with knowledge of the area to direct you to a day filled with wonder.
