A great stay We spent a few days in Oualie Beach Resort and had a really enjoyable stay. Comfortable and well insulated accommodation, relaxing beach lovely restaurant and great live music in the bar. The locals, owners ex pats and other guests all made this a memorable stay for us. The manager Stacey and the other reception staff were absolutely brilliant too. Fully recommended. A very enjoyable stay

The hotel was great I loved it , as for one the staff, think her name was miss parris, I didn’t like her attitude at all I found her to be very rude. She didn’t even want to open to front desk door which is a buzzer door by the way. And for a manager she’s not very well kept or presented properly, I find for a manager her hair was very unkept and I find she wasn’t dressed the part for her “manager” position. I found her to be very moody only delt with guest who ever leaving tips. Other than that the hotel was beautiful and nice staff overall

Oualie beach hotel is set in a beautiful location and has a rustic charm that embraces its guests. The staff are truly attentive and endeavour to make all their guests’ holidays special. . My husband and I were with four friends celebrating our Golden Wedding and had a truly memorable stay . I will always remember the local delicious food, the inviting sea and warm balmy evenings . Once a week the local musicians gather for a live music night. Great fun especially when the bagpipes started to play !!! I would recommend Oualie Beach for a truly relaxing stay where local fresh food, seaside cottages, very comfortable beds and caring staff look after you. Thank you all !!!

This welcoming resort boasts a convenient location. Close to Nevis airport, ferry to St Kitts and many nearby fabulous restaurants. Courteous staff. Long stretch of beach front offers incredible sunset views. Rooms are large and air conditioned. Restaurant and bar on property with popular Tuesday night live music.

My friend and I stayed at this property for 3 nights while visiting the island. The rooms were cozy with a great view of the sea. We slept well due to quiet and great A/C Unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife monkeys etc) like other guests have possibly due to the intermittent rain. Bring your own toiletries as they only provide body wash, shampoo and a bar of soap. There on yoga classes available on certain days on the property. It is advertised on the website but for some reason not shared again at check in which I think would be a nice reminder especially if people booked in advance. A few restaurants a short drive away if you would like variety. Service at the hotels' restaurant is decent but slow as with all restaurants on the island. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island.

If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had. When we were there only 12 of the rooms were booked, many days we had the beach to ourselves. The rooms were clean, definitely dated and could do with some tlc, we were missing a knob on a bathroom cabinet, it didn't bother me and if you are the type that would focus on details like this, I would avoid the Oualie. Furniture in the sitting area varied from cottage to cottage, none in the regular rooms was new although we did have a new mattress. Our room had a kettle, our friend's room had a pod coffee machine. Basins of water were kept at the door to clean the sand from your feet although the local monkeys were seen using them too! We did see monkeys, sheep and a donkey on the grounds during our stay, none ventured too close to us. The beach was beautiful, no long walks but lovely to sit at and watch the boats go by, plenty of trees for natural shade and no towel games or reserving of chairs! Like everything else, the beach chairs were old and basic but perfectly fine. The water was warm and everyday we saw a sea turtle popping up close to us. The staff was amazing, very friendly and willing to help, the gardens were well taken care of and rooms were clean. The restaurant food was adequate, to be honest, I expected more flavour, even the curry was bland. Food and drink were slow to come out, do not expect to rush your meal! The bar had live music on Saturday and Tuesday, there were people from outside the resort and it was a lot of fun, on other nights the bar shut down early, we would come back from dinner elsewhere and it was closed. Sunday BBQ was also good. There are not many places to walk to, we relied a lot on taxi's. Nevis has a lot of great restaurants and is gorgeous. It is quiet, not a party island, and is not cheap. It is not for everyone but if you are looking for relaxation, it is a great island to visit.

We love Oualie Beach Resort (OBR) and we go there every year in spring for up to four weeks. Don't choose this hotel if you want to be pampered in luxury. There are a lot of more expensive places to stay on Nevis, if you feel you really need a more luxurious and ritzy setting. OBR is West Indian in both style and function. If something in your room is broken, or really needs fixing in some other way, just tell the front desk and they will send someone to repair it or fix it within a day or two. Yes, a lot of the buildings could use a new coat of paint here and there, but that should not affect your enjoyment of the place. My husband and I need a room with a kitchenette because of our dietary restrictions; fortunately for us, there are two of those rooms at Oualie. We love to swim in the bay, and I love to walk the grounds and photograph the flowers and other wildlife. The main road is close enough to make it easy to catch a bus, but it is far enough away to be quiet, and the far end of the Resort is far enough away from the Restaurant that you don't hear music on nights when there is music being played in the bar. The staff are all lovely people, and very helpful.

Reviewing the bar for drinks. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Reasonably priced drinks too. Also one of the best places on Nevis to watch the sun set over the sea. Would definitely recommend.

Oualie Beach's star feature is the beach and restaurant. The beach is a lovely clean crescent of gray and black sand and gin clear water. The restaurant blends a perfect rum punch and delicious food. I had a lunch of fish tacos which was tasty. My West Indian breakfast was heaven. The salt fish was perfect. My last meal was a fresh fish burger and hand cut fries. Quite memorable. The rum punch at Oualie was one of my favorites. It was similar to a Ti Punch; light brown and a lovely dusting of fresh nutmeg. The casual Caribbean beach vibe makes for a perfect spot. Tuesday night is a big music scene, I am told. I did not partake.
