I was so looking forward to this holiday and upon arrival I thought my expectations were going to be met but these soon changed, solely down to one part of the hotel which all guests will frequently visit. Upon arrival, I was really impressed with the hotel grounds, reception and check in process. Whilst my room was not ready (I arrived at 1pm so to be expected) the staff quickly gave me my bands to allow access to all the faculties. My suitcase was left in the luggage room until we could get the keys to the room. First impressions of the hotel were excellent, very modern, clean and welcoming. We went for lunch after checking in (more about the restaurant later) and walked around the grounds to familiarise ourselves. Like the reception area, the grounds, swimming pools and communal areas were modern, clean and well kept. We went back to reception around 3pm and were given keys to our room which was on the 3rd floor of the main building. The room was spacious, clean, modern and had a well sized balcony. We spent a lot of our daytime at the waterpark next door. Hotel guests had there own access. There were plenty of sunbeds and ques for the slides non existent other than Space Shuttle, King Cobra and Volcano. For the 3 rides mentioned you could be waiting an hour or more................. Top tip, go to those slides as soon as the park opens. We spent some afternoons in the hotel activity pool and my son enjoyed participating in the kids water polo, boules and other family games. The Purple team put on a good show for all. Evening entertainment consisted of the kids disco, followed by bingo then followed by the main show. We always played bingo (without luck) and watched a couple of the shows. It wasn't the best but It's better than others I have watched. We often went to the bowling, pool table and arcade room after the entertainment. We always managed to get a game of bowling within 15 minutes. Note that the bowling costs 15 lev per person / per game and all arcade games cost 2.5 lev per game. You can soon spend your money................... Now for the big disappointment, the Buffet Restaurant.............................. BREAKFAST This was my biggest disappointment. Out of the 7 days i stayed, I was only able to walk in for breakfast on 2 days and find an empty, clean and serviced table. On the other 5 days I had to walk round and round the poorly laid out restaurant with my son looking for a table, sometimes for 10 minutes or more. Believe me, we were not the only family. On the occasions that I did find a table, twice I had to clear dirty plates and find clean cutlery and napkins. I actually wouldn't fault the staff on the floor, there simply wasn't enough of them and did not seem to be any back up or support by managers which I have saw in other resorts. Once we eventually got sat down the ques for the live cooked food was awful, probably a line of 20 - 30 people waiting. Cooked food outwith the live cooking areas was luke warm an
