We spent four lovely days at this hotel. It has only been open for a few months but was fully functioning. Before I go further, I must say that the staff is outstanding. We travel a great deal worldwide and have yet to be treated better. Not only was the staff efficient but very friendly. We felt like family. The wait staff, the front desk, the concierge, and the housekeeping staff were all wonderful. We especially want to mention Federico, who made our visit so memorable. There had been a hotel at this location in the past. But this place appears to have been built from the ground floor up. It was beautiful and well-designed. Our junior suite was lovely and had a terrace. There were something like 30 guest rooms. The pool areas looked very inviting if the weather had been warmer. There is an adequate gym, but I could not find any mats for stretching. The location was very nice and just a few minutes walk from the train station, so it was easy to get to the center of Genoa. The hotel was expensive, but that is how it concerns five-star hotels in Europe these days. However, I didn't particularly appreciate that they charged 15 euros for room service, even if it was to bring a bucket of ice. But then the next hotel we stayed at charged 30 Euro.
