When I checked in, the swimming pool was under repair and upgraded. The large room and the entire restaurant had a very good breakfast, which tasted very authentic. The beach is a 1-minute walk from the hotel, and it looks beautiful at sunset.

It's a very cozy hotel with a strong sense of design. It's located in a small town near Genoa, about ten minutes by train from Genoa. There is nothing next to me, so I just lie down somewhere else.

It's a very new hotel. The characteristic of a small hotel is that the service is very meticulous and in-depth. But the restaurant is average, there were a few issues but we were not given good feedback. Others are very satisfied

The hotel feels like a renovation of an old historical house, the decoration is relatively new and the service is also good.
We booked a sea view terrace room, but unfortunately we could only see a corner of the sea view. There is absolutely no value for money.
The room is pitifully small, the bathroom shower room is floor-to-ceiling glass, there are no curtains, and it can be seen from the balcony. There is no privacy at all.
In summary, the smart facilities and equipment are all OK, and it feels like a high-end homestay.

After staying at the Capitolo Riviera with my wife for a week,I can't fault it! We both enjoyed our stay with ALL staff being as helpful whilst we were there. A great place that was situated ideally for us to reach places like Portofino,Genoa,Monterosso & Santa Margherita. Meals were top notch (Breakfast and Evening). Our thanks to both Simona and Simone who made our stay as pleasurable as it could be!

We originally chose the Capitolo Riviera because we throught Portofinio and Santa Margherita Ligure would be limiting. The Capitolo, a block from the train station, offers easy access to Genoa, Santa Margherita Ligure, and Cinque Terre. We found a hotel that was lovely and exceeded our expectations. Genoa-Nervi, a former fishing village, is a suburb that offers a range of restaurants and stores with a boardwalk that is accessible to the old harbor. The Capitolo Riviera is a modern in a 1950's contempory style located in a park. The Hotel restaurant, il Botanico, was so good that we dined their twice. The best part was the warm and professional service from all the staff. I would especially highlight CR's two concierges, Simone and Simona, who provided insightful recommendations from restaurants to the best times to visit various sights. They really added to the success of our visit.

Peaceful, Beautiful, and Absolutely Exceptional Capitolo Riviera was everything we hoped for and more. Nestled in a peaceful, treehouse-like setting, it’s just a quick train ride to the city center—so you get the best of both worlds. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, spotless, and perfect for unwinding. The staff were truly amazing—so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. We were blown away by the hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious, with creative cocktails that made every meal feel special. The spa was clean, calming, and the perfect way to end each day. If you’re looking for a serene escape with easy access to the city, you won’t find a better place. Already dreaming of our return!

The hotel has delivered flawless services to us. The staff - every single one - is extremely friendly and helpful. We didn't go to the spa or fitness room, so no comment about that. The rooms were absolutely clean and functional. Sleeping comfort was very good. There is a valet service for parking (and, if you have an EV, charging) your car. What I would like to mention is that at one point I forgot my card and the cleaning personnel refused to open the room right away but rather kindly requested an ID and contacted the receptionist. I can only applaud at this professionalism. What we really enjoyed was the restaurant and meals served at the bar during off hours. The dishes were nothing short of exquisite. We've had seabrass on a fantastic pesto sauce or duck breast with an unusual selection of supplements that perfectly matched the meat. The desserts were delicious, too. For our children they went an extra mile and created variants - spot on. For lunch we spent around 180 Euros for three people, but it was worth every cent. Negative points are few. The only thing we would have expected a little bit different was the breakfast which is definitely small at a first glance, but you can order additional items that, however, are really freshly made like a fruit salad or egg. Do not expect an opulent buffet. What they are offering is of highest quality, though.
