I struggled to find a definitive review of the ground floor, two bedroom apartment when booking this property, so I‘ve tried to capture some key details here. This apartment doesn’t have a view, but does have a sunny, good size terrace, with table, chairs, loungers and clothes airer. The larger bedroom and living space open onto the terrace, and it was useful outdoor space for our children. Ceiling height is low (2m-ish) which gets a bit oppressive after a while, and I had to duck to get through the doorways! Kitchen is perfectly adequate and has a washing machine. The small bathroom is also adequate with shower. No bath. It’s in a great location on a cobbled street minutes from the centre and several beaches. As others have noted, however, there are two very busy restaurants immediately opposite the apartment which make the second bedroom very loud until about midnight. They have tried to mitigate this by putting two sets of double glazing in, but this of course means that you don’t get any fresh air in the room. It shouldn’t be a deal breaker if you are planning to be out and about in the evenings too, but just something to be aware of if you are expecting, for example, kids to sleep in there. We moved the mattress into the main bedroom for our toddler to sleep on and used the second bedroom for our ‘stuff’. Main bedroom and living space have air conditioning. The team that manage the apartment are based just a few doors down the street and very quick to reply to any requests. They organised a cot on arrival, and then managed to find us a high chair as well. Not luxury, but good value for money in a nice location.
