I had high expectations of this hotel and restaurant and so did my colleagues with whom I had planned a dinner. Let me start with the reception. The lady behind the desk was clearly new to the organization but that is not a problem. What was a pity was that her colleague did not help her so she had to ask questions all the time. I was also not shown the way to the elevator and further information about swimming pool, breakfast etc. was missing. The room ("Classic") was spacious and indeed very classic. You would expect a sofa but there were two, antique dining room chairs, a matter of taste. The dinner in Restaurant Bacchus was below the expected level. The service was not alert, forgot wine and water and was downright arrogant. There was only a set menu which was otherwise fine. The dishes were good without exception. We wanted to have a beer beforehand, that was not possible... Only wine and water, very special... Then beer was served at another table. When asked, the waiter insisted that he had told us this but all five guests confirmed that this was clearly not told before dinner. We accepted it but that made the five-star feeling disappear forever. It was also noticeable that the waiter mainly had an eye for the apparently regular guests because they were greeted and hugged extensively while we had to wait for the refill of wine. Compliments for the extensive breakfast but the breakfast chef was not very friendly either. It was not busy and then you expect a pro-active and hospitable service and chef in a five-star hotel. I have slept and eaten in various five-star hotels both business and private, but this experience really belongs to the bottom of my ranking. I experienced this stay as stiff, uninterested and arrogant. I will stay in this region more often in the future for a business overnight stay, but then I will definitely book a different location.

We had a fabulous stay in this very chic art deco style hotel The reception staff were very friendly Noah who greeted us was very helpful At the moment they don't serve evening meals on a Monday so Noah arranged to Chauffeur us to a nearby hotel as we were on DBB where we had a lovely dinner Breakfast was served in the well presented downstairs room Great selection of food to choose from The Manager Ivan was super efficient, just ask and next second it's there! Special mentions to the egg lady who cooked our scrambled eggs deliciously, and the new starter (first day!) Katerina who did a great job Our trip included the spa which was very good The quality of the hotel and ALL the staff were amazing and friendly Will return soon as we can

Spent few nights with my parents to explore the Mosel area. It was worth taking rooms with Balcony which offer a very nice view. The hotel is located a bit off the main road which definitly garantees all the silence you need to relax. Nice spa and indoor swimming pool. What needs to improve though is the choice of food on site. Of course you have the Michelin stars restaurant (which we didnt try) but I want to mention something about the 2 others : Bacchus and the other one called Die Scheune. We stayed 2 nights. First night we went to Bacchus which was very nice with excellent service. Second night we went to Die Scheune and were extremly surprised to see a condensed menu of Bacchus… with exactly same dishes! For the standard of the hotel and the whole site, this is not acceptable, sorry. This was the only negative remark I could give, otherwise thsi would have got 5 stars.

+ We booked the Götter Suite/Roman Sute in the hotel. It was very spacious, with two bathrooms, a large, double bed, two balconies and a sitting area. For an extra five euro per person you can have your breakfast delivered to the room, instead of going downstairs. We highly recommend this as it very comfortable to eat in the room. the people at the front desk were very polite and helpful. The spa itself is nude, so be aware of that. There is almost always someone at the bar, and they serve drinks along with some small snacks. There is mineral water readily available for you to fill up into the predestined plastic cups. (these are reusable) The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I have no complaints in this regard. The service wasn’t always the best…sometimes we had to wait exceedingly long with empty glasses of wine, after having purchased a whole bottle, because they leave the bottle elsewhere. So we couldn’t have filled our glasses if we had wanted to. The furniture and art is very beautiful and gives an air of luxury. The lobby is picturesque, and the bar is filled with plush velvet chairs. The staff, is overall incredibly friendly. They attended to our expressed needs quickly and efficiently. - Try and avoid using the spa facilities in between meal times. The space is not very large so it tends to fill up quickly. We went during those hours of the day, when most people are eating. Like this it was very enjoyable. We booked a “Wine Bath” because we liked the way it looked in the brochure. Unfortunately, this was in no way, shape or form worth the money. We payed 60 Euro to sit in an oversized Bathtub, for 20min, willed with luke-warm water and firing some very tame jets. The only “wine” thing about it, was the apparent “wine seed oil” they added to the water. The jets did little to massage us and created no bubbles to speak of, so it wasn’t exceptionally pleasant. For a 60 Euro charge, I have to say I would have expected a glass of wine, a small charcuterie board, a face mask…any of the above would have sufficed, just one. Instead we payed 60 Euro for Someone to fill a big tub for us and leave us in a small room for 20min. The amenities were not restocked daily, and unfortunately, the cleaning stuff that we met wasn’t overly friendly . We had to go to reception ourselves and ask for shampoo and body wash because we were all out.

Reception very competent and friendly, offered a welcome drink from the bar, good non alcoholic alternative. We had a deluxe room, good in size and design. No coffe/tea machine. No air conditionning, so a little tricky to have room temperature you prefer . This could be a problem in summer. They then offer mobile AC equipment. Pool is on the small size but ok to swim in circles. Breakfast buffet was excellent, good value. Staff was excellent.

It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. It was my second stay in September 2023 and just a great. It is a little far from Luxembourg or larger cities in Germany. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast for guests and it has a lovely selection. The rooms have amazingly comfortable beds and the bathrooms are a nice size as well. I did notice that the water leaked out of the shower a bit but that was the only downside.

WOW would not be enough to describe this hotel/resort. It is sooooo amazing, starting from the moment you arrive, greeted by the most friendly staff, then to the best room you can expect. Then there’s the view, the spa, the wellness center, the food. We could not have asked for a better place than this!

The hotel is dated. The bed extremely saggy. The room had a portable sieving that sounded like a vacuum cleaner so you couldn’t have it on and sleep. The whole experience was awful. We left after one night having booked for my husbands 50th birthday which was ruined. Worst hotel I have stayed in.

Once again we were staying here to dine at Christian Bau's incredible restaurant, and last time had what can only be described at best as a lacklustre experience when we were housed in the main "villa" which is something of a perfectly preserved example of the 1980s. This time we thought we'd try a room in the "castle" (which given its age has unsurprisingly been rebuilt several times over the centuries) in which Bau's restaurant is also located. We were thoughtfully upgraded which was much appreciated. The room itself had what appeared to be relatively new carpet and seemed to have been recently refreshed and the bathroom, even though clearly of an earlier vintage, was much higher quality than the one in the main building. All in all this was a very comfortable and more than acceptable level of accommodation. Sadly, the breakfast buffet wasn't really any better than last time, but we knew not to bother with an overcooked, oily omelette. That said, we were just happy that the room itself was so much nicer - we'll definitely be booking a room in the castle the next time we're here.
