We had a wonderful stay at the Pilopa retreat. Sarah and her team did not miss a beat and did everything humanly possible to provide the utmost service and comfort. I could go on and on, we have gone home with very special memories of this stay. I would book again in a heartbeat if we make it back to Nelson one day.

Sarah is just the best host. The kindest sweetest and most generous person you could possibly meet. Everything was just perfect and no detail was overlooked Amazing room stocked with wonderful food and drink Fab breakfast Crocket on the lawn pétanque Heated pool Delicious apéritive I could go on and on Just book up and you will not ne disappointed

I had an outstanding retreat with exceptional service! Luxury and comfort are evident in every detail. Sarah and her team are amazing—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. The gluten-free breakfast options were superb. The pre-dinner protocol is a fantastic idea to share with others. This is a must-visit in Nelson!

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was to stay at Pihopa Retreat. I loved everything about it from the gorgeous accommodations, the wonderful amenities, and the beautiful surroundings. The owner, Sarah, met us as we arrived and made sure that our experience was as comfortable as could be. Indeed it was. Small, friendly, luxurious, beautiful suites. From the amazing breakfasts in the beautiful chapel to the drinks and canapés each evening in the pool house. There is also much to do in Nelson, New Zealand from exploring Able Tasman National Park to wine tasting in the area to exploring the many artists who make Nelson their home to so much more.

Pihopa retreat is amazing! Beautiful spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, amazing breakfast! Sarah and her team see to every possible need and make you feel so welcomed. During cocktails it is wonderful to meet other guests and share stories. We absolutely loved it here!

Beautiful cottages and setting. Wonderful accomodations. The baked goods were magnificent and the staff so pleasant and friendly. The grounds were lovely. The gym is well equipped and so clean for those of us who like to work out while on vacation.

First class service and accommodations. Wonderful food. A totally fabulous experience. Definitely recommend. A former archbishops residence with a fascinating history. The ground and facilities are extremely well maintained. Sarah was very helpful. Easy access into town. Happy hour was a great chance to meet other guests.

Sarah and her team are super friendly and efficient. The canapés in the evening were delicious and breakfast in the chapel has to be experienced to be believed. Fresh local produce and cooked breakfast was both generous and scrumptious - a credit to the team. We loved our room and the lovely servicing ladies left it immaculate every day. One of the best lodge experiences we have had - and we’ve been to a lot of them. Well done to Sarah and everyone who made our stay really special.
