Wilderness Hotel Nellim & Igloos

The accommodation was cold, with not enough warm bedding, and dirty. The previous customer's clothes had been left in the room. The rooms were filthy, with used towels and linen. I tried daily to speak with and find the manager. They avoided me and did not call or try to resolve the problem, and no one offered to get the room cleaned. The activities were overcrowded and disorganized, and we had to leave several due to this., yet we were still forced to pay. Food ran out, with the Hotel allowing a large external birthday party to be held at the very small Hotel, which made eating very overcrowded with nowhere to sit and large queues and food ran out. There was no internet access (in spite of being told that there was), and the resort smelled of sewage. The customer service was poor and run by very young, inexperienced people. For the amount of money we spent being in excess of £6,000 pounds for three nights, I would not recommend Discover The World who sold the holiday to us or this resort. Other people who had [previously visited the location had said it was bad.

Exceeded our expectations in every way. Pickup from the airport was seamless, hotel beautiful and rooms were very clean and quiet. Excursions were great, guides were knowledgeable and fun. Food was good with a big variety. Can't recommend it enough.

My wife, siblings, and I stayed at the Kasari Lodge, and it was everything we had hoped for and more! The traditional log cabin was charming, cozy, and spotlessly clean – the perfect home base for our Arctic adventure. We were fortunate enough to witness the Northern Lights on two occasions, which made the experience even more magical. The Arctic Explorer package was an absolute highlight. The husky safari and snowmobile tours were mind-blowing, offering unforgettable, thrilling experiences that exceeded all our expectations. Every part of the adventure was perfectly coordinated, making it smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The staff at Wilderness Hotel Nellim were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well cared for. The full board buffet was fantastic, with fresh and varied selections that changed daily, ensuring every meal was something to look forward to. We truly had the most incredible time and would love to return in the future. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at the Wilderness Hotel Nellim. The natural surroundings are serene and beautiful. Our cabin, Kirakka, with a sauna, was very comfortable. The full board meals had good variety and were tasty. The outdoor activities and equipment were well organized. We appreciated the good service and friendliness of the people in the hotel and managing our activities, particularly Rita, Joao, Juan, Kinga, Louis, and Karol. And we were able to see the spectacular Aurora Borealis over the lake during the clear, frigid Arctic nights. We would recommend a visit to the Wilderness Hotel Nellim.

A beautiful experience. The room we booked was simple, but very comfortable and the services are high level. Pick up from and to Ivalo Airport is available. The hotel is cosy. There are saunas available upon reservation for private use; very nice asset after a day in the Lappish freezing cold. The activities are very well organized and allow you to discover Lapland in the best way. Winter gear are available for free during your stay. The cuisine is excellent and very varied (gluten free and lactose free options are always available). The staff, international, is kind and always available. A special mention to Silvia, very kind, who helped us solve small problems during the stay. If you want to live a beautiful Lappish experience, this hotel is strongly recommended!

Beautiful log buildings in gorgeous settings. Our room was in a block (not a lodge) very warm, basic and clean, but with no coffee or tea making facilities. Bar/Restaurant area was very warm and comfortable. Meal selections were excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Chosen activities were enjoyable, however due to the excessive low temperatures (too long for small children) would suggest the offer of a shorter option. The highlights for us were the aurora camp by car led by a very knowledgeable guy called Toni and the Reindeer Farm led by Anna. The Northern lights were the icing on the cake. Would recommend but would stay in a lodge with a fire and sauna next time. Transfers to and from airport were efficient.
