I usually come here with my family and this has been one of the worst experiences EVER!! The guest services at the front desk was very insulting with asking me if the person I came with is a part of my party! When asked for more towels I got the wrong set and also when I went to get it myself there was an extra wait time as none was on property. The bartender had a disgusting attitude I could puke my drink with his non friendliness, definitely will turn guests away. When checking out the way they were going on about their second key I’m like do they really think I would want to keep their second key the other person was on the beach when I was checking out and the way the guy at the front desk made it seem like I would like their key was SUCH a turnoff!!!! I WILLL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. The servers at breakfast and dinner were nice and as always a big shoutout to the lifeguards!! The hospitality never changes when we stay here amongst them! The entire front desk needs to be FIRED and that bartender!

We visited Country County from London UK for a family holiday. We had our 1 year old with us so we’re very careful when picking accommodation as we needed a cot. We arrived and had to remind staff that we had booked and paid for a premium room and requested ground floor. We were moved with no problem. They take $100 deposit when checking in didn’t have a credit card on me so they asked us to go to the cash machine and get cash. That was a bit of a hassle. Room is traditional Jamaican. Very pretty surrounding and we loved the decor. Room was spacious had a massive comfortable bed and sofa bed. Air conditioning worked well and was extremely cold. Just a shame it blew directly over our bed so we couldn’t get a balance in temperature. Windows are shutter style with no mesh so there was no way we would sleep with windows open. Negril had a lot of mosquitos. However surprisingly there were not so many mosquitos in the room. Room cleaned daily. Breakfast was ok you can order off the menu. Orange juice was the sugary fake juice. Staff friendly. Beach absolutely stunning. Plenty of sun loungers. No foot wash coming off the beach but we used a bucket outside our room. Swimming pool was useful with the baby. We ate lunch at the hotel twice. It was ok but I would say walk down the beach and get better choice. Hotel drinks are very expensive. We paid nearly £30 for two double local rums. Bottle of water was $7! Supermarket is just across the road so go there and stock up on drink. Overall a lovely stay. Don’t expect luxury and you will have a great time.

Very nice hotel on the beach. Hospitality was top notch. Every staff I encounter was alway had a smile on their face, professional, respectful, pleasant and helpful. This hotel has the best breakfast. I was so full, I did not need to eat again until dinner time. I had oxtail for dinner and that was so delicious. The bar has excellent drinks. My drink was rum punch after the first drink o was very mellow. Housekeeping did an excellent job it my room. Bed was very comfortable and slept like a new born baby. The ocean view from my room was breathtaking. Thank for your excellent service and will definitely return. The sand on the beach felt like baby powder on my feet.

Overall this place is made to come and sleep and not stay in the room. There is no tv in any of the rooms which is fine because we came to be out all day for the entire trip. This was a couples trip. We enjoyed the beach which was lovely. The food and drinks at the restaurant was great! The people were friendly. The first strike for me was there was no iron or ironing board in the room. It was at the front desk, which is a bit too much especially if you have a beachside room. The second strike, We did not like the fact that the water got shut off as my husband was in the shower with soap on him. I had to go downstairs to ask the security guard about the water situation and she was able to help thank God. The next morning when we woke up, there was still no water and was told that they are on the city water and the person to fill up water tank is on the way but they could not give us an eta. That was very frustrating! It’s hot and as a woman being on their cycle this is a complete nigh**are! My third strike was the fact that the front desk closes. I know this isn’t a big hotel, but there should at least be someone there if you have any problems or questions. We enjoyed our stay in Negril but they need to fix a few things such as giving the rooms an uplift.

I give 5 stars because of the AMAZING STAFF , beautiful beach and GOOD home-cooked Jamaican food. My second time at fun holiday, first was just with my husband and second time with my 2 sons. The staff( I can not name them as EACH AND EVERY staff member went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and being very attentive to my 3 year old). If you are to book a tour, book with STEVE at the hotel. He took us to Benta falls (beautiful) where we could walk amd swim in the water for a very reasonable price. Steve goes out if his way to make you feel comfortable. The beach is perfect no rocks or seaweed. Located 3 minute from downtown negril where you will find local shops, Seaview restaurant , and grocery stores. Prices in the town are cheap . Not a 5 star resort however a 5 star experience!!! I was beyond impressed with the quality service my husband and I received at Travellers. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a pleasant and efficient young lady at the front desk. We were a bit early so our room was not quite ready but not to worry we could hang by the in house restaurant to pass the time and have a walk around the property. Upon our return to the front desk we were escorted to our room which was exceptionally clean with crisp white linens and a spotless bathroom. Immediately I felt a sense of relief as we were not quite sure what to expect. We opted to include breakfast in our booking and was quite happy with that choice, the chef was spot on in the ackee and saltfish Jamaican breakfast. Travellers is right on the 7 mile beach so we had access to all the offerings and then some. On Wednesday night guests of the hotel were treated to the Manager's Cocktail Reception, the Guest Relations Manager was quite eloquent in her welcome and made us feel quite special. The guest performer who played the flute was exceptional in his rendition of Jamaican reggae tunes, we quite enjoyed this ...kudos to Travellers for thinking about their guest in this manner. I highly recommend this boutique hotel, the standards here are quite high. This will definitely be my go to hotel on my return to Negril.

Just got here and I am already so dissatisfied that I’m considering moving locations. We’re here with a wedding party and you would think that they would be better prepared for a group. It took us over 3 hours to get our room and this was after being told 10 more minutes an infinite number of times. Finally we were told that 1 of our two rooms is ready and the other should be ready in a matter of minutes, we’re on the 3 floor with no elevator and we have a baby with a stroller and car seat. Speaking of my baby, there was no crib or bassinet in the room so I’m not sure where he’s supposed to sleep. I’ve called the desk to request one and no one has answered. Btw the room next door where my mother in law is supposed to be staying is empty with the door ajar and it looks like the room as TRASHED by the previous occupants so I’m not sure how it will be ready in a few minutes. We were given the run around for HOURS today and I’m not sure why this hotel is so expensive because I haven’t experienced a lick of proper customer service, nor any amenities yet that would justify the price. This is going to be a particularly long 4 days

I was thrilled to experience Jamaica for the first time, and as it happens we were extremely fortunate to have our stay at Sunset at the Palms in Negril. From our initial welcome by Tobian on the concierge team, to our last day exit the experience was top-notch. I highly recommend the resort. Everyone contributed to our enjoyment and appreciation for the beautiful country of Jamaica and our lovely resort, but to add some specific names, we thank Tobian, who gave us our first impression of the resort's quality, Cleon, who was heading the concierge team for our stay, and Andre, Aldain, Sashana, and Tafari who were also a part of the concierge team and were always there to lend a helping hand; Kadian McPherson front desk manager, the sous chef Chef Myrie, also Chef Kenroy, Chef Fitzroy, Chef Sheldon, Mrs. Barrett, and the entire restaurant staff who made all of our dining experiences memorable and delectable. We appreciate Mr. MacFarlane and the security team for keeping us safe during our stay. Our thanks also to Ms. Allen, Mr. Jackson, and the housekeeping team for keeping up our accommodations during our visit. We learned so much during our on-site botanical gardens tour from head gardener Lynford, his expertise aided our enthusiasm for the lovely plants, flowers, and birds we observed. I was able to receive an impromptu swimming lesson gratis from Clavon at the pool, and my thanks to him for his suggestions to improve my fitness. I do not have names,but thank you to the gentlemen and ladies who staffed poolside bar, especially the gentleman working the day of 7 August 2022. Also thank you to the other bartenders who also provided us with lovely beverage concoctions. On our excursions to YS Falls and Black River (highly recommended) our driver Mr. Sinclair was a literal fount of knowledge, not only providing a singularly smooth ride, but also giving us detailed information about the parishes and towns we passed through, and making our day trip the most memorable and delightful. Thanks also to Lacia at the gift shop, we purchased some needed items there, and quality was high. We enjoyed some entertaining nights on site as well, with the inimitable piano playing skills of Paul, who has a vast and varied repertoire that we were able to enjoy. I could go on and on! We definitely would love to return in the future! Thank you so much Sunset at the Palms for such a fabulous first stay in Negril, Jamaica!
