Booked this hotel on line through an online booking agency, for two nights before returning home. The hotel is basic but our room was clean. Our room did have a safe, tea and coffee, and a fridge. When we checked out the male receptionist was insistent we paid in SL rupees. Their rate meaning we would pay 19 dollars extra than the booked price. We refused. The receptionist phoned the manager who said this was because the government had increased tax (not true). Eventually they took our money in dollars (the booked price) We had a wonderful time touring Sri Lanka staying in a number of hotels. This was not a problem anywhere else. A sad end to a wonderful holiday.

The street was noisy until two o'clock in the middle of the night. When I started to go, I said that it was closed and closed. Later, I contacted Trip.com, and then I had to get a new mobile phone number and then contact again.
