It's nice to have a view of the river, but it's set back, there's nothing around, and you can't shop.
It's inconvenient that you need a tuk-tuk to get around or do anything.
There were a lot of female guests, both Japanese and Western, and although it may have been by chance, there was a lot of noise with people talking and coming and going,
and it didn't feel relaxing.
The pool was small. I wish it was a little bigger.
The room was bare, so it would be more relaxing if there was a sofa or a small table in front of the chairs. I think it would be more relaxing if there was something on the floor, even a small mat would be fine. There was a Japanese washlet, and the tea was garlic tea, so I felt that they were considerate.

Amazing place! Wonderful staff, great food and top quality services! Also very relaxing atmosphere and nurturing energy. Villas,yoga,massages with special oils as well as many other special treatment were great way to rejuvenate body as well as mind ! Will recommend to everyone!!!!

Small resort, simple accommodation but with 5 star doctors and therapists. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every single day. Delicious and freshly made food and great plans for every day, from yoga to cooking classes and more. We already have booked next year.

The massage is wonderful. I tried to drink ghee to remove every bad something from my body. And I tried to take nose oil treatment also. Those are little bit too hard to me but I have got good and exciting experience there. Every massage ware really fun and good. The therapist is also very kindly and helpful and charming. The doctors gave me additional medication for me cuz I got some sick. I really appreciate that. The food is good. They have special healthy meals and drink for someone who takes a therapy. The staff are also very kindly. I enjoyed every meals there. I enjoyed the yoga in the every morning. And once a week we can go to the near beach to yoga. Sun set was very good. I really recommend this hotel for someone who wants to take relaxing. And I recommend to spend there at least 10 days. I wanted to stay there more days.

Amazing experience, amazing hospitality, everyone were so available, kind and professional. Each staff member made me feel I was so welcome. It’s the right place to take care of yourself, treat yourself with relaxation and self care, while knowing you are surrounded by wonderful staff. The doctors were very clear and right to the point, food was great and treatments WOW!

I and my husband stayed in Karunakarala Ayurveda Resort for 7D6N in September 2024. We were there for Ayurveda wellness treatment. The resort itself is beautiful and quiet. Our villa is clean and comfortable. All staffs, doctors and therapist are caring and friendly. Food is delicious, yoga & meditation session offered free to guests. We had an amazing stay there and can't wait to go back soon! ❤️

NIce calm resort on the riverside, close to Negombo. Staff was always helpful and ready to managne your wishes. Professional Ayurveda doctors and rehabilitation staff. Accomodation was pretty in local design and comfortable bed. Restaurant serving ayurveda mostly vegetarian food and local dishes.
