The room was okay, but the locals were singing karaoke at night, and they were still singing in the middle of the night. It was too noisy. Not recommended. If you want to know more about local life, you might want to consider it. There are residential areas nearby, so shopping is more convenient. In the morning there was a guy selling bread on a bicycle.

下了飛機直接入住尼甘布的酒店，春節價格400左右左右一個房間，就是住一晚，沒有定貴的房間，性價比高。另外補充一點，隔壁餐廳很好吃，價格也很優惠，滿意！酒店旁邊是一個教堂⛪，酒店距離魚市車程五分鐘，很方便！

因為第二天一早要去聖瑪麗教堂，就選了這家入住，在一條比較小的弄堂裏，房間簡單清爽，作為在尼甘布中轉住一晚，還可以，沒什麼中國客人，有一些外國人，早飯簡單，麪包，水果，茶，咖啡，煎蛋，還有斯里蘭卡當地的一種飯，酒店的小哥還是盡心服務的，對住宿要求高的可能不那麼合適

I wish to add to the review on TripAdvisor on Hive 68 Negombo on the same subject posted by my friend from overseas. We checked out on 28 February following breakfast. Before we went for breakfast we packed our bags. Following our return to the room after breakfast we did not open our bags which had already been packed. Instead we checked our room thoroughly to make sure that none of our belongings had been left behind in the room. The next day on 1 March my overseas visitor said that his trousers and facial cream were missing. So we went to the hotel on 2 March and collected it. They also gave a pair of shorts and underwear belonging to me which they said had been found in the room. The facial cream was never returned. Then on the morning of 5 March I saw a WhatsApp message from my overseas friend that an expensive jacket too had gone missing. We informed the Negombo Tourist Police by telephone and my overseas friend lodged an entry at the Mount Lavinia Tourist Police.

Checked in for 1 night's stay with a local friend/guest on 27th February 2025 after arrival in Colombo. Checked out next morning. A day later realised clothing and personal care items from us had gone missing. Alerted reception following which clothing items were returned with the exception of a facial care product. A few days later realised an expensive jacket was also missing. The loss was reported to the hotel. On hindsight realised that our lugguage, most likely, were rumagged through when we were at breakfast and certain items removed. Very very dishonest staff operating in that hotel. An awful experience arriving as a tourist.

The hotel was a bit worn but functional, in a nice location to walk to the old town, along the canal, and at the harbor of the lagoon. Plenty of shops around. Staff were friendly, the food was decent, not great. I would stay there again should I ever return to Sri Lanka and arrive in the early morning hours at the airport. Pretty decent for the price.
