I checked into this hotel last night. I decided to stay here after reading the reviews on Ctrip. It was very late when I got off the plane so I wanted to check in and rest quickly. When we got to the room, my heart sank. The bedding was dirty, the floor was dirty, there were a lot of ants on the floor, and a few mosquitoes were flying around. When I turned over at night, the bed was accompanied by the sound of dogs barking. I can't describe my mood last night. I don't know if the reviews on Ctrip were all written by someone else. One word difference

Just a quick overnight stay after a late arrival into Colombo. Allowed us to check in after midnight. Clean place and filling breakfast. Would recommend as cheap and cheerful overnight stop before heading off on your Sri Lanka adventure..

I have booked for 6 nights at this place. The staff were very friendly with excellent food and really enjoyed all my stay. Especially Mr. Taruka a good chef and very attentive all the time. Just a 5mins walk to the near by restaurant and beach

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the center of Negombo, in an easily accessible side street which allows you to be in a quiet area but at the same time close to the lively nightlife of Negombo which turned out to be a surprise for us. The rooms are spotless. A large shower with hot water. In the room there is a fridge and a water boiler with tea and coffee available. Very kind and helpful staff. There is also a fairly large swimming pool (essential for the hot days in Negombo as the sea water is not very clean) but with little space for sunbathing by the pool.. They offer a service to the airport at payment. We only spent one night passing through before returning to Italy but the property is truly worth it and I would definitely return

Positive points: very affordable price. The room is quite spacious, clean and has one of the best mattresses of our 3 week stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel is 3 minutes from the busiest street in town with some quality restaurants and nice bars and 5 minutes from the beach. Negative points: When we arrived at noon we were told that we would check in at 2 p.m., so we returned at 2:30 p.m. but our room was not ready. The wifi didn't work. The swimming pool filtration system is turned off so it is full of dead insects and plant residue: swimming at your own risk. No elevator and very narrow stairs. The hotel, including the rooms, is smoke-free. Some customers must be "calmed down" because they behave as if they had privatized the place without the managers reacting. Negombo beach is not clean, and overall the locals there were extremely aggressive and insistent towards us even after we refused their "offer". Finally, I also did not appreciate that the manager tried to dissuade me from ordering a VTC to reach the airport in order to try to sell me his transfer. Which was four times more expensive...

Hotel located not far from the beach. Bedrooms equipped with every necessary comfort and sufficiently large bathroom. There is the possibility of using the swimming pool located near the entrance and for breakfast the guest can choose between different proposals. Not as expensive as I expected.
